 Airsoft War Games
« Thread Started on Jun 8, 2009, 11:48pm »

Hi guys, i came by to spread the news about this new hobby that im into. its called AIRSOFT, basically its kinda like PAINTBALL but the guns here are replicas of the real thing and it uses BB pellets instead of paintball as ammunition.

here are some pics for you to get a good idea of what im talking about ;D

this is me using a Heckler and Koch 416 (HK416), its the same model as christian bale's character (john connor) used in the first half of the movie Terminator Salvation.

me and my bro, he introduced me to airsoft so this was all his big idea.

and here are some staged action shots...

i've started with this hobby last march 28, 2009 and i've been playing soldier boy every weekend ever since. and if ever your wondering, no im not over collecting MG Gundams, airsoft is just my OTHER hobby hehehe still got big plans in continuing my all non-gundam collection.

playing airsoft is such a lot of fun, nothing really beats the feeling of immersing your entire self into an activity that you yourself can role play in your own way without being ridiculed hehehe

CHEERS ;D

nice! would love to experience that thing as well.. just cant find time.

question, in paintball, the "paint" indicates your HIT right? how about in airsoft? How do you know when someone's "neutralized"?

the norm is that the player with all due honesty will admit that he/she was hit and would simply call out "HIT" and walk slowly out of the arena. and in the case the player wouldn't admit to a HIT, he/she better be prepared for more welts to come hehehe >:)

the most accessible would be the lot just right beside trinoma, but gamesites are all over the place. every city in the metro manila has at least one. it all boils down to personal preference which site your going to. some are arena type which is called a speed ball (photos above were taken in such site), some are jungle type, and some are abandoned buildings.

its loads of fun playing airsoft especially if you got friends to play it with.

hehe here i am hoping i could influence some of you guys into getting another hobby hehehe >:) think of it guys... zeon ground troops vs. efsf troops or zaft vs. orb or whichever faction you wanna be hahaha (just a thought)

GOOD MORNING ;D

BB pellet?? Ouch! Isn't it a bit dangerous? Based on your posted pictures, you people are not wearing a complete head protector. Your ears, mouth and some areas of your cheek and forehead are exposed, just like the guy wearing the dessert cammo.

Btw, do you guys rent your rifles or you bring your own??

actually we do wear a complement of head gears to fully protect our mugs and noggins. the ones you see in the photos are simply goggles but when we do play we wear a full face mask and bonnets/balaklava to protect every inch of our face. we simply chose to wear goggles so people could actually tell its us who's in the photo. and the photos were not taken in an actual game, that's just us posing with our gear.

we bought the gun and gears ourselves, it cost us quite a lot but it was worth it ;D

sorry for the very late reply, been busy lately. the gun cost me about 7K and it runs on electricity. rechargeable batteries.

all in all, i've spent over 20K for my entire gear. gun, battle dress uniform (BDU), helmet, goggles, mask, kneepads, vest, sling, boots, gloves, extra magazines, and dot sight.

the registration cost is 200 and the permit to transport is 360 so that's 560 in total and it will take at least three days to process. that is if you yourself forward the application to the firearms and explosives division in camp crame. though some shops offers such a service but it will cost you at least 1000 and probably longer waiting period. and i think the license and p.t.t. is good for one year.
