i've decided to go all the way with the international version of play arts... since i've started with the int'l version (because of my ignorance of the jap and int'l ver) ;D

that's ok bro. i think my first volume of FFVII AC figures is also US version. that's ok. atleast it's a little cheaper compared from the Japan version. and as long you got the cleanest and no paints or mold blemishes, then you're good.

@shinn actually there is. japanese version are more expensive because it has a better quality. the international version however is a lot cheaper but it's a step lower when it comes to quality (e.g. paint smudges, excess molds, etc). i remember seeing a review site before on the difference between the US and Japan version of Playarts FFVII AC figures wave1. as for the wave2, i haven't seen a Japanese version yet in our local markets.
besides, i'm happy na rin and contented on my Diamond Distributed FFVII AC figures. as long that it passed my expectations, i'm good.

i just have a question... where can i find tifa and vincent FFVII AC Play Arts? will there be a restock of these? tnx! You can inquire with any GT branch if they have still have PlayArts Tifa and Vincent...Or you can check the "For Sale" section here, I think one of the members is selling a reasonably priced MISB PlayArts Tifa, click here... No big and noticeable difference in terms of the figure, just an additional logo on the packaging that states "Distributed by Diamond Comics, blah, blah, blah"... Good for you! But do watch out for bootlegs as PlayArts figures seem to be a favorite when it comes to fakes...

I am quite upset that fakes of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children but most especially Kingdom Hearts II Play Arts are flourishing in stores nowadays. Anyways, I'm saved because I bought my FF7AC figures about two years ago.

I think I know which store you're talking about. The bootleg Cloud's hair is kinda dirty compared to the original one. Little tips for Play Arts collectors: - For the wings of Sephiroth (and Genesis), I recommend the 12-inch Wings of Redemption Spawn Figure. - For the goggles of Cloud; Edward Lee (a Flickr photographer) recommends the goggles of Akira's Kaneda by McFarlane. Paint them black. Minus points to Reno for his goggles aren't removable so that Cloud can't steal em! ;D - For the cellphone of Cloud; the Barbie Fashion Fever Crystal Chair (eww, girl stuff!) is ideal. It comes with a Cellphone that you can paint black (to resemble the FomaP900iv) and a chair that you can use to pose with your Maid Saber by Alter. - For the Materia of Yuffie; the pellet/airsoft gun ammunitions...I mean, those small translucent circles. For alternatives, go for those little gashapon balls that come with Yujin's little gashapon machines but the problem is, they don't fit on Yuffie.

My Japanese friend said that the face of the Play Arts Vincent rings the bell of Michael Jackson. LOL, and Squall rings the bell of Gackt.
