yep. thats the good thing about SICs - the somewhat gothic yet realistic look. the shots look quite good. did you use the kit lens? thanks ... Yup I only use the kit lens I still haven't got new lenses yet and I also fired a flash on the pic.

nice shots brod arch! i like how sharp the details came out. hope you post pics of Blade King Form as well. ;D also, you could probably invest in a close up filter initially for toy shoots. it'll help with close up shots even without a macro lens... cheaper too.

Yeah its really difficult to shoot in macro if you don't have a close up filter and a real macro lens. Cause the kit lens isn't build for a real macro closed up shots like the ones we had in our Sony DSC-H7 and the Canon S3iS. Hehe I'm still not used in DSLR you know still getting the hang of it always practicing shots again. I'm now eyeing or investing also for a 3rd party lens like Tamron or Sigma to replace my kit lens.

May I ask where you bought your SLR bro? Reason is I want to buy a battery grip for my father's 450D. Any suggestions from other members are most welcome.

Thanks for the info bro. I just called a shop in Hidalgo and the battery grip for 450D cost 6.5k. Looks like the price is same at the Canon center there.

Thanks guys hehehe .... This is what my hauls for this month sorry guys no toys as of the moment cause my priority right now is my camera and some new games for the PS3. Gonna be back in toy hunting once I completed my camera priority. Kill Zone 2 really nice and fun game to play I recommend this to all the owners of PS3. Atlast got my Telephoto Zoom lens got this cheap for a bargain price the Tamron AF70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Lens. Next stop is the carrying bag, flash, filters, and a battery grip. Also another extra lens for a real macro. What can I say about this lens is that this lens is really awesome really cheap this is a starter lens for the begginers who wants to learn the basic of a telephoto zoom lens. Once I already got used with this lens I might sell it and opt out for a much better lens. Some sample shots of the Tamron AF70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro Lens. Fire ants on the roof top in our neighborhood Some cat in our back yard An Indian Mango at the back of our neighborhood Flower bokeh testing ;D Thanks for looking hope you enjoy it ;D ;D ;D

very nice shots! its really a good lens! how much did it cost you?
next time it would be better if you took a shot of bagoong as well - that'll go well with the mango shot.

for 7k you've got it good indeed.
with the kitlens and that you've got almost good to go for general-purpose uses.
good luck on getting that macro lens!
