Thanks jnthn! The details are pretty good for the two SRW kits. As for the articulations, well it's not that much compared to bandai 1/144 kits.

@jnthn which is the best game among all? Tough question hehe...I personally like the Super Robot Wars series and SD G Generation. I recommend SRW Alpha series because of the lineup of robots it features. Among the Alpha series....well all are good but if you only wanna get one then maybe the ALPHA 3 is the one to go since it's the newest in the Alpha series.
As for the ps3 games, yup you are right. The first one which is GUNDAM: Crossfire/Target in Sight is really crappy....only good thing is the graphics haha. I was just forced to get that game. The Gundam Musou is ummm..kinda so so only. not good but not that bad.
I agree with you there with regards to the SRW kits. Yup I am gonna get the 1/100 Alteisen kit, it's one of my favorite mech.

yeah i heard a lot of good stuff about the srw games....too bad i can't play em coz i only have an un-modded ps2....but how can you understand the story if they're in japanese? i really want to play alpha 3, the attack/fighting sequences are kick ass!!
i've never really played any good gundam games, why can't bandai make a decent one like Zone of the Enders type of game for gundams....that would really kick ass!! if you've never heard of Z.O.E., you should definitely check it out! it's the best fast-paced action mecha game ever created....the orbital frames(mechas) are wicked too!! too bad there's no model kits that exist for them....

@jnthn = Hehe I don't understand the story. I just play for the sake of seeing all the famous Super Robots and Real Robots together in a game. From my experience, you don't really have to understand the story to enjoy the game. I also read the walkthroughs in www.gamefaqs.com, there some guides do provide a sort of translation for the story. There are two SRW games that we can understand, these two are Super Robot Taisen Original Generation 1 and 2. Both were released by Atlus for the North American market, so everything in the game is in ENGLISH. If you want to play these games, I suggest you buy a unmodified Japan unit of ps2. That way you will have a 100% reliability in gameplay, no frustrating hanging or freezing in between playing. Another way is you can buy a software from Datel called Free Loader for the ps2. This software enables you to play import games on your unmodified North American PS2 with no modifications. From what I heard, you simply insert the software disc into your PS2 each time you wanna play an import game. I was able to grab a copy of the first Z.O.E. game. That was one of the good early games of the ps2. IIRC, Z.O.E. had a sequel in ps2 and it also came out in Gameboy Advance with a gameplay a bit similar to SRW and Final Fantasy tactics. It would be cool if a company decides to create model kits for Z.O.E. kingaL = Thank you! Bandai really made the ver.2 worth it! @qb = Thank you! Some of my games were bought from Vmall. Mostly from searching in various game shops in HongKong during my trips there over the years. Nope I haven't collected every SRW game yet, and I don't think I ever will. Some of the older games for PS One can't be found anywhere these days. I was not really into SRW games during the PS One era, so I never really bought the original version of those games that time, only pirated copies in the old Virra Mall haha. There are three titles for the DS. One is SRW W, which includes VOLTRON Lion for the first time in SRW history! The other two are SD G Generation games. The gameplay is very similar to SRW which is turn based strategy but not as deep still it's the next best thing to SRW. Difference from SRW is 1.) that there are no super robots and other real robots in the game besides Gundams and their enemies, 2.) upgrading of mechs is much more limited compared to the vast upgrading options in SRW, 3.) Pilots don't have "magic spells" that they can cast in- battle to enhance their attack, evasion...etc. The first among the two games is SD G Generation DS released sometime after the launch of the first DS. The second one was released recently, entitled SD G Generation Cross Drive. Nope I can't read Japanese. I read the translations in GameFaqs.com. That site is very helpful. They have guides for all the SRW games. The guides range from basic menu and battle command translation, mission walkthroughs, secret robots and attacks, magic spell translation, etc. To sum it up, they've got all you need to play and enjoy a SRW game. @no3ljm = Thank you! Hehe just like you, I was also impressed with the Zaku. Sometime soon, I am gonna buy the one similar to yours too.
