GSX-401FW Stargazer The GSX-401FW Stargazer is a mobile suit developed independently by the Deep Space Survey and Development Organization (DSSD), by a team of engineers including Selene McGriff. Holding a neutral status with regards to both the Earth Alliance and PLANT, DSSD created the unit as a non-combat mobile suit with the objective of exploring space beyond Mars. It is equipped with the new "Voiture Lumière" propulsion system, similar to that of the GSF-YAM01 Δ Astray but on a much larger scale. In addition, while the Stargazer is initially assigned to DSSD test pilot Sol Ryuune L'ange, using a detachable two-person cockpit, it is equipped with an artificial intelligence system that is meant to learn from the pilot and eventually be capable of operating the mobile suit without assistance. The machine itself as well as its operation support system are collectively designated as "Guider UNmanned Deployment Autonomic Manipulation" (GUNDAM). Though the Stargazer is equipped with a nuclear fission reactor, completion of its N-Jammer Canceller lagged behind. As a result, the mobile suit is forced to operate on battery power, greatly reducing its endurance. Looks nice! Looking forward to getting one of my own soon. ;D
Is that just snap built and panel lined? Also, are the gold linings stickers or plated parts of the kit? TIA! ;D

i agree this should have been a 1/100 scale kit... but details for 1/144 are getting better.. very nice. but im thinking that this might not end up as a 1/100 scale. considering the number of kits NG GSD out there. and there more units yet to be produced. adding more other than main series might make it more than a 20 line NG kits. hehe... (i hope this doesnt end as a conversion kit too.. just too expensive, i bet the other stargazer units will have conversion kits...)

hey mervin. nice updates & review on the HG Stargazer. i agree, this should be out on 1/100 scale too. but, as christine/snap says, there's a lot of Gundams from SEED/Destiny that is not yet on 1/100 scale. 'kailangang pumila muna sya.' or depends on the demands and sale of the unit. like brod V2 said on the other thread, buy first all Stargazers units. then, Bandai 'might' produce it on 1/100 scale.
i think, new & upcoming HG 1/144 kits are getting better and better these days. kudos to Bandai engineering team.

snap built and panel lined.. Linings are stickers, see 3rd pic as reference... cheers! thanks for the info! so you can't display it on its "phase down" mode which is with black linings? from what i've seen on the anime, it only turns gold when the volture luminere is active.
