hello there again folks! what i have here right now is one of my very first scratch built stuff i made way back..err...1999, after i graduated college had some spare time, voltes five was a craze that time and its kinda expensive to buy the actual die cast voltes..so i thought..why not make my own?hehehe...so eto po..I ran into trouble because i have no blueprint whatsoever for this mech so i based my voltest structure sa series i've watch over.its kinda dusty and the pic is very blurry and dim. title : Voltes V - full scratch built , combiners this five (almost damaged and dusty) machine are full scratch built can unite... this voltes v stands around 2 feet something, kinda large for a scratch model kit..hehehhe..more like a jumbo grade size.i'll take pic side by side with my zaku jumbo grade (which i got as prize winning) thanks for viewing!
oh btw, inside steve's volt machine, i used a 1/72 zoid figure as pilot painted in steves color outfit.

wow! your first scratchbuild model was a combining Voltes V? and just right after college? that's double wow! (uhm, excuse the smileys. doubles eh. ;D) lupit mo nath! truly a master. makiki-belated Happy Birthday na rin.
it's almost 2 feet tall? can i ask what materials did you use? im thinking it's made of boards used by architect students, right? forgot what it's called eh. so are you an engineer/architect graduate or just a GunPla artist? hehehe.
again, nice job even if it's your first model. lupit.

@ xentar - thanks!its always naman imagination that keeps me going, doing and making stuff na wala ako.hehehe..thanks!
@ no3ljm - actually, its my very first scratch built mech..may nauna pa pero di sila mech, more of g.i. joe vehicles , sadly are now damaged and dusted. during college days, i dont have that much money to buy things i like so i made them na lang using materials i can buy. kakahiya ,man sabihin pero the voltes v mech are only composed of styro foam, illustration boards, pop cola 800 ml bottle caps and some g.i. sheets..and some acrylic paint that has been handbrushed.its only today that i can afford high impact sheets and styreen so my models looks decent.
btw, licensed architect na po ako.
thanks for viewing no3ljm!
more to come!

nath hey nath. thanks for the insight on your Voltes V. esp the materials. i just had a hunch lang kasi that you were an architect or an engineer graduate. because building something like that from scratch takes a lot of computation and figuration. again, great job on building your scratchbuild models.
i'm a fine arts graduate, but sad to say, i can't build something like that, nor to do kit-modding. but, i still want to do that in the near future. as long i have the time and the budget to buy my airbrush. imagine, i graduated fine arts without the use of an airbrush. hehehe.
hope to see more of your GunPla masterpieces.
