just a little, little update (inspired by master qb) hehe ;D
my second SF and my unfinished NG IJ (I have to strip the paint thrice coz of many mistakes!) lots of pegs have been broken already ....
Front view:
Back view:
Side view: By the way, I used the head of the NG Strike coz the head of the IJ is a bit small for the body..
paint a bit thick, did not close the seamlines, katamad eh and I plan to topcoat (flat) this once only after I apply the decal..
thanks for looking ;D

master ka dyan... so you're using a red motiff for the IJ? not bad but it looks more like the Saviour now instead of the IJ. suggestion: try different shades just to add a personality for your kit. ;D

@qb&rapido: thanks bro's.. thanks for the advice also..badly need that. hehe I sprayed it 1' and 6" but still the paint is thick..tsk also, that's 2 coats of paint only..
I'm quite tired stripping and painting so I'll just leave it as is.. I want an IJ that's red, coz I'm not into pink gundams. hehe Anyways, I hope bandai release an MG IJ..
@ master qb: Regarding pens, try using copic markers like bro jnthn, I'm also using that.. It's quite thin about .03 but I don't know if it will be visible in painted kits. I think the best way to panel line a painted kit is the wash technique?? correct me if I'm wrong.. I don't know that technique either hehe but I've seen videos on how they apply it on the kit..quite impressive. ;D

i'm diggin' that red IJ!! i was going to grab one of those before and also paint him red instead of pink, i'm just like you, i'd rather see him in red plus i'm not feelin' the pink as much too.... kingkong and qb =-your copic pen is different than mine but i'm sure they're both great....i used the copic multiliner 0.03 on my friend's gaplant, it's very thin, fine, and smooth....you don't have to line it twice, it's that precise!! the tip never bleeds...just make sure you're hands are not shaky like mine sometimes.... ;D this is how mine looks like....also, click the other images and you'll see it's scribbles.... www.flickr.com/photos/pigpogm/31728103/

ah ok.. I think that copic multiliner is darker.. mine is warm gray and shadowliner ata, so its very light..this will only look good on light colored armours..
i originally planned to paint my IJ with italian red ba yun (tamiya) but I ended up using signal red and honda red industrial paints. back then, I didn't know the right combination of lacquer, acrylic, enamel so I sticked to acrylic combination..kung alam ko lang!! hehe if I had used tamiya paints, I think the outcome would be better..but it's ok, this will serve as a remembrance for my first painted kit..hehe

Is the copic pen erasable??? if you got panel line mistakes.... yup its erasable..but I think jnthn's copic multiliner is better than the shadow liner.. mine is warm gray colored and you have to do panel lines thrice or four times before it becomes visible. shadowline talaga siya ;D@ vayeate: no problemo bro! ;D repost ko lang: hehe
