Please note that the C-scale was originally used to grade Cards (Baseball, Basketball, Trading Cards, etc) and has been loosely used to grade toys... C1 = Poor (P) to Fair (F) C2 = Good (G) C3 = Very Good (VG) C4 = Very Good to Excellent (EXVG) C5 = Excellent (EX) C6 = Excellent to Mint (EXMT) C7 = Near Mint (NM) C8 = Near Mint to Mint (NMMT) C9 = Mint (MT) C10 = Gem Mint / Perfect (GEM) Comic books and Coins use similar grading system... miniatures only have 5 grading points, e.i. Poor, Fair, Good, Near Mint and Mint... which roughly converts to: C1 or C2 = Poor C3 or C4 = Fair C5 or C6 = Good C7 or C8 = Near Mint C9 = Mint As for Toys... There are new gradings such as AFA (Action Figure Authority), CDA (Collectible Doll Authority) and DCA (Diecast Authority) to address each toy genre... But if you wish to use C-scale to grade anything for approximation of its condition, feel free to do so but be wary of over-grading... -wel

thanks! by the way, do you know what "loose" condition means? loose means the item is 'used' already and there are physical signs it is so. Some terms used (and abused) in toy conditions: MISB = Mint in Sealed Box Tho it might be just resealed, check for double-taped flaps. MIB = Mint in Box Not necessarily brand new, item could have been displayed in dust free display case and placed back in carefully kept box. LIB = Loose in box These are loose items in which the box is still intact, check for undeclared damages and missing parts. MOC = Mint on Card These are blister packed items which is still unopened, very difficult to reseal so you're almost guranteed it's 'Mint'. The card condition itself may be good or bad. When in doubt, ask for an actual picture preferably by a digicam.

loose has a lot of definition in the toy collecting world... the bottom line is, any toy/collectible removed from its original packaging, and that packaging is no longer available, is loose...
