Mixed reaction bros. If your a fan of the past movies (superman 1 and 2...throw away 3 and 4 please.), then the movie is very entertaining. If your a comicbook fan boy (like yours truly), be prepared to be slightly disappointed. As far as Superhero movies are concerned, this one flies short of a speeding bullet. But overall, well worth your money especially the flying and action sequences. I loved the comicbook, and I'm a fan of the movies. I enjoyed this movie very much. IMHO, the movie was playing more at nostalgia for old school fans than actually pleasing a whole new slew of Superman movie fans (it was successful none-the-less). This movie was more like a take on the original Superman movie. Besides, it was hinted that this is possibly the first of several Superman movies to come out in the future. So, the 'stuff' that some people are looking for may not be there.....yet. I wouldn't call the Spidey movies 'accurate' mind you since there were a lot of creative changes and freedom on the plot and story, since the first movie.

removeable.
for their size, they're pretty light, especially the Rachel figure.
Feels like they're hollow.

I think the Kaiyodo Cammy that were sold locally at lower prices were QualityControl rejects... Its quite obvious with all the problems on the paint, mismatched bases, brittleness of the PVC and more...Its quite a shame really, it is one of the best looking Cammy figures I've seen... They're not necessarily QC rejects. I've read on a couple of Japanese boards that Kaiyodo had a high demand for the figures because the initial release was supposedly 'limited' and too expensive for some. Kaiyodo hurriedly went into production to meet the demand, and release them for a lower price. Unfortunately, it looks like the figure suffered in the end.

I'd recommend Yamato, but realistically speaking, it should depend on your budget. Yamato's are probably the best representations of Valkyries, but they are very expensive. Your next option would be Bandai's 1/55 re-issues. good value, but since Bandai pulled out on re-issuing other variants of the VF-1, it's a little bit hard to find one. If you do, the price is probably up as well. I don't know about Tomy and other companies producing Macross VF toys (save for Hasegawa, but these are kits). It's ultimately your choice. You can visit Macrossworld.Com for detailed reviews and pictures of various Yamato products.

Nice review! Great pics as well!
Waiting for mine to arrive.
About the Gerwalk mode, you might want to try fully extending the thrusters/feet to make it more sturdy in that mode.
From the pics, it looks like the front section is still 'tiptoe-ing'
Thanks for posting!

Macross 7.
If I am not mistaken, it only appeared once.
The original leader of the Diamond force (forgot his name), flew one in the series. He was severely wounded, and sacrificed himself and his Armored 11C to blow up a gunship attacking City 7.
If the 19 is successful, and generates the YF-21 and VF-11, the GBP-11 (??) won't be far behind.

So far Yamato will be releasing the YF-19 for now. The rest of the M+ valks will be released, I guess depending on how well the 19 does. Personally, I like the 21 better and I'd like to see what Yamato does to make their 21 near as sleek as the line art, or any of the Hasegawa YF-21 models in fighter mode. Oh, btw, just in case anyone wonders why Yamato didn't make the M+ valkyries into 1/48, here's a visual reason.... compare how big HALF of the YF-21 back section is to the 1/72 YF-21 by Yamato. www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/club_m/cm_48yf21vsyamatoyf21comp.jpg

ah. well then i think it depends on jp's and my "level of interpretation" as compared to yours. (whatever the hell that is) Oh pray tell, how does 'doing a Bandai' answer JP's original question about Macross Zero then?

to cut it short, they're doing a bandai. Nope. Cutting it short just doesn't cut it. "doing a bandai" doesn't necessarily answer JP's question, whatever the hell that means.
