Gane - The pearl gloss of Exia R2's white parts are easily camouflaged using clear paint. Tried it a while ago. The problem now are the metallic blue ones. I managed to minimize the damage to a great extent (miraculously...). I'll try out a marker first since it's near the color of its' armors.

Hm. I'll go with the 3rd one, I guess. Got no problems with seeing ugly sprue marks anyway. And they're really small so no problem.

Another dilemma. I just acquired an Exia R2 Metallic Version. Currently having some problem with those ugly sprue marks. Is it possible to remove or minimize those markings in a pearl gloss-ish colored part?

Since I'm using acrylics, can I easily remove miss paints by rubbing it with cotton + water?

I thought of using toothpicks or finely-sharpened pencils and dipping them into the paints for going around those thin, tricky areas. Any thoughts?

What kind of brushes do I need if I were to paint HG 1/144 models, considering that they are tad smaller than MGs. And do files work like sandpaper when smoothening those nubs? I just acquired one recently.

I went to GT Manila earlier and saw the contents of R-1. Looks quite complicated as how you said it would appear.

Oh man. That just plain sucks. Seems I have to risk it with Dygenguard. Do you think markers would somehow do the work?

Tsk. And I was hoping to get the Ryoto Hucky without the boxer frame. I was thinking of giving it a total paint job (even if I know it would be disastrous ) to have the Trombe color scheme.

My first kit was a HG 1/144 Hydra Gundam. My parents gave it to me during my Grade School days... As expected, it got severely wrecked since I still didn't know how to actually assemble one. And now I really want another Hydra Gundam.

Hey Kasmi, saw your Hucky earlier and I'm quite amazed with it. So I'm thinking of building that Hucky, probably the Ryoto version. Any tips in assembling that pretty kit?

I really want to make my model kits look good but the thing is...I have this great fear of using paints. My hands aren't that accurate in painting the parts required and the last time I did that (a bootleg Stargazer), it was quite the terrifying mess. Now I'm wondering if it would be possible to at least make the model kits neat and presentable by just using markers. Any thoughts?

Just saw your gallery Kasmi. Pretty impressive, I must say. How much did you pay for your Hucky? I'm thinking of getting that Ryoto version. I just hope I'll have the guts to paint it to Elzam's Trombe Color Scheme.

Oh my. And I thought it was something easy as HGs or No Grade 1/100s. I'll probably have to check its contents first since GT lets you see the stuff inside, I think. Then make my decision afterwards. Thanks for the tip! BTW, what would you suggest from either kits? Gespy or Huck?
