V2 assualt: yes, I had it painted. the toy itself was nice to begin with and when I looked at it again, I realized how it would match the Dreadnoks well! The concept here was that the Dreadnoks, being the scum that they are, commandeer some derelict jungle cutter, paint it (vandals that they are!) and use it in the marshlands and jungles of Cobra Island. @qb: thanks man!

Garvyawesome vehicles! the TDK Shift Attack sports coupe is the one you got from the US? that one is wicked! ;D and I love the Jedi Star Fighter. which issue had the hyperspace ring on it? the ROTS version? Yup the Sports Coupe came from the U.S. The Jedi Starfighter with hyperspace ring is the 30th anniv collection version (TAC).

love the skystalker and axe hammer! i dont recall seeing that coupe locally. is that only available in the US? Thanks man! I love em too! Ironically, the local distributor of Mattel here never brought in the 4-inch dark knight line which consisted of a very basic tumbler (no play features both in black and in desert camo), the shift attack sports coupe and a few playsets scaled for 4-inch figures. Given that the 5-inch figures just ended up being pegwarmers and that the stealth attack tumbler (w/ batpod) was so expensive, I would have taken a chance on the 4 inch scale line as that would have probably sold better due to a lower pricepoint. I asked people who have gone to HK and Sing to look for this but they didn't have any success. So, since they weren't available here nor in the usual travel destinations within the region, I had to source it through a former classmate in the states who gladly bought it and gave it to me as a Christmas present! ;D

In my own little Joe Universe..... The Sigma 6 project was conceived to further innovate and enhance new technologies for GI Joe equipment and vehicles. Given the resurgence of the Terrorist Organization Cobra after Cobra Commander's daring escape from a ultra maximum security prison, the project swung into full gear. Given several documented infiltrations by Cobra agents of GI Joe ranks and facilities, the development work, fondly known as "the skunkworks", were scattered to several classified locations around the globe. One of the projects involved the development of a new aircraft. The objective was to create a highly flexible airborne weapons platform that was proficient in both air-to-air as well as air-to-surface combat. During the design phase, Skunkwork Designers and Engineers also decided to incorporate certain value added features to the airframe design, making the vehicle well suited as a dropship. Over the course of time, the design phase took two opposite directions...the second direction eventually evolved into what is now known as the Sigma 6 Dragonhawk... However, the original design did reach the prototyping phase and has been cleared for actual field operations.... Without further ado, we present the Axe Hammer! the oddly shaped rear portionof the main fuselage was designed as such to accomodate transport pods that could be used to replenish supplies of GI Joe ground forces. In the absence of the transport pods, the shape and vents in this area minimize the aircraft's heat signatureThe Axe Hammer and the Dragonhawk! The Axe Hammer with the Sky Stalker. In the field, the two make lethal partners, with the Axe Hammer destroying ground targets whereas the Stalker provides high altitude surveillance and can swoop in for the kill should the Axe Hammer need support.
