The Xbox 360 have 3 existing "packages" or "versions". You can read up more on these packages here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360#Retail_configurationsI strongly suggest you get the Xbox 360 Pro version. Xbox Live is their online membership service. You can sign up for a silver membership for free. The down side is that you can't play online with other people unless you upgrade to gold membership, which isn't free. Though you can still download free stuffs with your silver membership like demos, trailers, etc. Xbox Arcade is like an online marketplace where you can buy & download games. You would need MS points, like prepaid cards, or a credit card to buy stuffs off it. The only place I've seen selling MS points prepaid cards is datablitz.

Had a chance to go to SG this weekend for the AFA 08. Revoltechs in the convention are dirt-cheap, going for like P300-P400 a pop. Got the YF-19 & Ultra Magnus revos. Also got a Kanu Uncho figma, & an Ayu Tsukimiya figurine. Wanted to get more but my wife will kill me when I get back. ^^;

My experience with modded consoles have been hassle-free most of the time. When buying modded consoles, make sure the store selling the console can also service it and offers some sort of warranty. As far as lifespan goes, it's hard to tell since every console is built differently. Most of the cases I've see when a console breaks down is mainly due to the lens getting burned out. I got a modded ps2 back in 2003 and it still functions and never have I brought it in for repairs.
The only problem with modding the current-gen consoles is the issue of updating the firmware or patching the games. I was commissioned by a friend to buy a modded Wii, the sales person said never to update anything in the wii including the games or the it will loose the mod. In the 360, you won't be able to connect to their Live service once they detected your console was modded. The bottom line is if you just want to play games & you're not concerned about updates, patches, & going online, get a modded console.
It would also help to keep yourself updated to the trends of the modding scene so can keep track of the developments. The PSP for example have a very lively community of hackers & modders that keeps up with whatever anti-modding protection Sony throws at them.

My prayers & sincere condolences goes to Yoncha, his wife, & their loved ones they've left behind. It's sad to see a member of this board pass away. May you rest in peace.

@ mykeleleng: Try this faq www.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbadvance/file/582124/17580. It's basically the same game from the gba years ago. There are conditions for each scenario like prevent the enemy from reaching the base, a certain unit must not be destroyed, destroy the enemy for a certain number of turns, etc. Currently playing Wipeout HD & Uncharted for the PS3 for the trophies.

Completed the McDo Happy Meal Star Wars toys. Really disappointed with R2D2, thought it could be a small coin bank but the slot can't even fit a 25 centavo coin. ^^;

IMO they look like a cheesy redesign on iconic SRs from mazinger & getter series. Starting from the left, cowboy robo from getter (forgot the name), Mazinger Z, Getter1, & Great Mazinger.

Get the slim, no reason to get the fat unless you don't mind the extra bulk & weight. Although I think the fat would be a bit cheaper than the slim since it's being phased out. I'm also planning on upgrading to the slim once the my budget allows it. Those packaged ones in greenhills are probably okay, since they're most likely modified. Just make sure the store you're buying from is trust-worthy.

From Luk Yuen, walk along the street going towards EDSA until you see a bunch of restaurants like Gerry's Grill, Icebergs, & North Park. There's a small entrance on the side of glorietta (before you reach the main glorietta entrance) with an upper and lower entrance. Take the lower entrance & turn left after you enter. Take a few steps and you'll see GT on your left. Here's a map to make it a bit clearer: wikimapia.org/#lat=14.550495&lon=121.0244089&z=18&l=0&m=a&v=2
