My Toycon hauls: MSIA Wing Gundam Zero and MSIA Altron Gundam (for P600 and P540 respectively, but Malvin let me have both for P1100) from the GT booth, plus a DVD copy of Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 Yeah I'd say the Toycon was more fun this year (I was actually there for three hours last Saturday), though I would've gone on a real spree if I was a Transformers collector.

Wow! That low vis VF-1A looks neat. May I ask where you got the MSIA Heavyarms, though?

@ qb Good point, I kind of missed that. Although I think the G Armor and the fact that the RX-78-2 itself could split into component parts is the mecha designers' own take on the combining robot craze going on around that time (i.e. Voltes V, Mekanda, and so on). Although you're right, the Dendrobium ended up being more popular. I guess it's the way it massively ups the firepower and mobility of the Gundam unit that made it leave more of an impression with the fans. And like the Meteor and GN Arms, parts of it would get destroyed until the pilot discards it entirely, which added to the dramatic effect. The G Armor just got shot down by itself most of the time. LOL.

I think what adds to 0083's realism is that there is no reference to "newtype" characters or enhanced humans (which is why the other UC OVAs, like 08th MS Team and War In The Pocket are equally enjoyable). The skills of the pilots and their struggles with their mobile suits are really emphasized, as well as the "grunt soldier" element. But I think 0083 itself is important for introducing the Dendrobium, which is the precursor to Seed's Meteor and 00's GN Arms.

Actually I got a Nadleeh around the same time you posted that you got it, so I was just wondering if you purchased yours at the same shop I got mine from. Oh, and I have a Throne Drei too, got it from GT Makati last Saturday. Can't wait to see your completed Thrones, though.

Woohoo, the GN-X! I hope it comes with both kinds of guns (the long one and the short one).

Ooh so it's the red Enact, not the blue one. Still getting it, though.

I agree! The Impulse looks tempting. And I was about to get Lukas' Strike E + IWSP for my first MG. But now I'm beginning to reconsider.

Maybe only "Graham" is dead, he could have changed his name a la Char Aznable.

Cool, Throne Zwei! I've yet to start mine, though. Is it available at GT already?

I think orange makes more sense with the desert color scheme. And it goes better with the red caps.
