yup... MS's capabilities are an important factor sa battle... pero sometimes pilots wud fill the gap... opinion ko lng un ha... kasi si athrun dati dba tinalo niya sila sting with only a zaku?? at un sa gundam wing na ova... dba kayang kaya ni heero si wufie na gamit lng niya ay un leo... btw, m really looking forward sa mga new units ni djibril kung meron man... gusto ko na makita un counter measures niya ngyon with lacus n zaft as his enemies... plus un orb pa kung nasa control pa ni cagali... um.... do u think na meh chance magdeflect un orb even with the leadership ni cagali??? feeling ko un ang magiging army ni djibril eh... i dunno pero hunch lang un... hehehehe

true true i agree that technollgy really plays a crucial role in combat.
about yzak... i really can't have the same conclusion as you do not because im rooting for yzak but because yzak was on a fit of rage when he engaged kira in combat, and twice was he defeated. but during the last episodes, he kinda sobered down if you notice? he was acting rash and obviously he's judgment was clouded with his anger, thus the downfall.
i'd also like to point out during the last 2 episodes, yzak did something that kira nor athrun have ever achieved... defeating the raider and forbidden gundams all by himself. surely those victories will account for something, don't you agree?
but as for yzak defeating kira or shinn? syempre panalo sa kira, sya bida eh hehehe but seriously we all know that kira is no ordinary coordinator. i still think yzak can kick shinn's @$$, like yzak before, shinn is in a fit of rage himself. but we'll never know right? this is just all speculation ;D

i'd say its both a combination of pilot skill and technology. eventually if a pilot knows has good skills and knows how maximize his MS' potential plus provided that his MS is that d**n good in terms of technological advances - he can be superior.
yzak for sure knew how to defeat forbidden - he ejected duel's assault shroud armor just in time to fool Forbidden to thinking that he destroyed him - as a result he came up close to disable the 'Geschmeidig Panzer' energy deflection system and finally deliver the final cut. while the Raider was on a head-on attack and with Buster disabled he used the next best weapon around - Buster's long range beam rifle.
so how was it able that Yzak, of all people ironically defeated those two? sure, kira and athrun used their new MS' capabilities to the fullest but Yzak was in a situation where they werent in - usually Raider, Forbidden and Calamity fight as a team. at that time, they werent.
so eventually, if you give Yzak a good MS like lets say, a gouf ignited or maybe a sword impulse - he wouldnt be sitting around as a sub-character.

Good points sana they get their own MS though I highly doubt it ...
- BTW if you have notices some ZAFT guys (Lacus Faction) actually kept busy during Peace time creating new MS's like the DOM and of course SF and IJ.
Although the DOMS weren't battle ready when the Eternal launched they feature the same beam shields that the New MS's like Destiny, Legend, SF etc have so they are gonna be a force to be reckonned with ;D No Phase Shift though pero it's not gonna help din naman with beam weapons so Oks na rin ung set up nila.

whats so scary is that, lacus clyne seems to have connections everywhere:
1. minerva doesnt seem to have ditched the gaia gundam (captured from stellar), so she must've gotten another gaia for bartfeld (the orange color variant) directly from the engineers from armory one?!
2. she whipped up updated versions of freedom and justice with their respective meteor units.
3. she has access to the latest technologies - beam shields for the dom trooper units.
ugh. so scary that woman is. kira should've felt it if he wasnt that whacked out on her.

UU nga twins sila pero kung hindi nasabi ni lord ozumi na magkapatid si kira and cagalli possible na naging sila...
go watch earlier eps of gundamseed (ep18 yata)
youll see some attraction between those two...
also, diba coordinators sila? so, ung genes and dna nila eh modified na.. hindi na applicable sa knila ang incest... kce iba na ung dna nila sa isatisa... so impossible na s knila ung INBREEDING.
(LEARNED THAT FROM HIGHSCHOOL BIOLOGY!!)

Starting to get creepy  Anyhoo Looks to me that Lacus is a bit of a schtzo... Nice and innocent but takes command like a pro .. Figured most of the Zaft scientists want peace and helped her out since the Clynes have a lot of supporters |

teka... speaking of creepy.... up to now nawiwierdohan parin ako keh rey... kasi mukha tlga siyang girl... ever since i saw him the first time.... ang assumption ko is na girl siya!!! dba clone siya ni rau kluze?? kung clone siya edi girly girl pala looks ni rau.... nung kabataan at nung wala pa siya aging disorder.... hahahaha...... lonewolfs ryt.... ang daming connections ni lacus... at mukng maraming datong to afford the scientists n engineer that created the MS.... uy guys... c athrun ba na coconfuse lng kaya humina?? or tlgang humina na siya?? kasi feeling o mas malakas siya nung sa seed palng eh.... at btw, si cagalli parang tomboy para sakin... hahahaha.... n taking aside un skills ni yzak... si dearka ba tlga hangang long range nlng tlga?? kasi ang hina na nya pag nakalapit na un mga opponents niya eh.... at same technique ang gamit niya....

Speciality ni Dearka yun eh, long range combat. ewan ko nga ba kung bakit lilipat siya sa blaze zaku phantom. ciguro custom yung gagamitin niya.

I think Dearka got accustomed to Piloting the Buster and since it has no melee capabilities whatsoever. Long range ang specialty nya. Remember the first G units were designed to compliment each other.
Buster - Long Range fire support
Blitz - Infiltration / Stealth
Duel - (First Proto type) Close / Medium Combat
Aegis - High Maneuver Anti Ship
The only Stand alone unit would be the strike with it's ability to change striker packs to suit the situation. Maybe that's why Kira was so successful on it.. The ability to adapt to certain situations + his ability to re-program the OS and not to mention the fact that he's a great pilot makes the strike unbeatable in GS.
I think Athrun was confused on why he was fighting.

DESTINY Spoilers
Ep 42 - "Freedom and Justice" - Orb is being pushed back by ZAFT's attack. Cagalli barely manages to hold against Destiny. Right when she was about to be shot down, Strike Freedom drops from the heaven with Infinite Justice...
Ep 43 - "Voice of Counter" - Athrun, piloting the Infinite Justice, comes to aid Kira. Athrun asks Shinn, "What do you really desire?" In the middle of the battle, Djibril plots an escape with group of traitors.
Ep 44 - "Two Lacus" - In response to Cagalli's speech, PLANT counters with Meer's speech. However, Lacus finally appears saying she is the real one. While the world is in chaos, both Dullindal and Djibril make their next move.
