i read somewhere that they got the guy who designs characters for capcom to design the mechs sa turn A.

the principal designer for the Turn A was Syd Mead, he was best known for his works on the Blade Runner movie starring harrison ford.

IMHO i think bandai tried to revolutionize the conventional design of the Gundams by introducing syd mead's design.

that was a critical mistake for syd mead and bandai - turn A was the butt of jokes and criticisms of many gundam fans - especially with its moustache.
