BTW to those who have not decided on getting the Zeta ver 2 yet . . . here's a pic straight from aeug.blogspot.com www.mpsnet.co.jp/hobbynet/ProductOne.aspx?pno=17296Like the MKII ver2 (getting tired just typing that mark II na nga ver 2 pa!) most of it came from the PG design, notice the head.. If I didn't know better I swore it was the PG! Only the hands and inclusion of the Hyper Mega Launcher gave it away. Also the stand include will also include a catapult system that can be combined with the MKII Ver. 2 Stand.

IMO, I think the design is based from the GFF version. The signature styling of the shoulders and the shield is evident of the most recent lineart that Katoki produced. Unlike the previous Katoki Zeta Gundam designs (MG, PG), the new design is slimmer and non blocky(blocks are the Katoki motif). It also closely resembles the Zeta design used in the anime series, very sleek and somewhat triangular.
It was first used on the GFF #0024 and now it seems it is being used again on this new version of the Zeta MG.

I agree, it appears to be based on the GFF version. Plus improvements of the flaws in the ver 1.0 such as:
1. The arms have solid working joints, replacing the ball-socketed polycaps.
2. The legs have proper locking mechanisms to prevent the slipping into wave rider mode.
3. The hands are proper MG-like ones, rather than the weird multi joints in the Zeta 1.0.
4. The wings have proper mounts same with the C1 and the Test Type.
5. The shield/nose looks a lot less liable to burn up in the atmosphere, hehe.
6. The hip-skirts are no longer mounted on the legs.

Looks like December would be a Zeta month. I'll bump the Gundam Pics Gallery thread by posting different types art (and different versions) of the much acclaimed MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam. But first, must compile those pics.
