ano nga ba ang inyong paboritong Gundam TV series, movie, or OVA at pa-explain na rin kung bakit.

mine would be GUNDAM 08TH MS TEAM, not because of the Gouf Custom (which is quite awesome) but because of the concept of a military group using a MASS PRODUCED gundam. yep not a prototype but a production type gundam and i do believe that the Gundam RX 78-2(G) is the only production type gundam and the rest are prototypes. im really a sucker for the mass production thingy when it comes to gundam kasi unique ang MASS PRODUCTION GUNDAM, at napaka common ng mga PROTOTYPE GUNDAM... hahaha baligtad noh? and i also like the concept of gundams doing battle in the jungle, yun nga lang ang ayoko sa lahat is yun color ng gundam i mean c'mon... their fighting in a jungle, shouldn't they have the gundams camouflaged or something? hehehe ;D

btw just a little trivia... the gundam EZ8 is not a new gundam prototype... its simply shiro amada's broken down Gundam RX 78-2(G) repaired and retroffited with new armor and weapons... sorta like what happened to the Duel Gundam in seed, it was converted into the Duel Assault Shroud yun lang. ;D

Mine was the Original Mobile Suit Gundam aka 0079 TV Series, kasi dun nagsimula lahat nung project V tsaka nandun yung idol ko si Amuro Ray. Tapos nandun din yung pinaka famous last battle of Zeong and the RX-78-2 sa A Baoa Qu dun din nagsimula yung Black Tri Star hehehe ..... Biruin mo lahat ng forces ng Zeon against Gundam, Guntank, and Guncannon and also the very famous White Base (a.k.a. Trojan Horse). I like old school anime. Tsaka compara mo yung Original Mobile Suit Gundam sa drawing nila sa Gundam Seed diba maliit yung mga mata nila kaysa sa Seed sa Seed malaki mata eh hehehe .... at also MSG was created by Yoshiyuki Tomino he was the man. ;D *sigh siguro kung siya yung nag direct ng Seed malamang same drawing style din ang ginamit niya sa Seed hehehe but sadly hindi siya eh .... ;D

-- This is the first series I watched and the one who brought me to love Gundams. The story is good, many twists and plots, unique, and the designs (Characters and Mobile Suits) are great. I like the Wing Zero, Altron and the Deathscythe Hell!
Movie
Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz SE
-- As usual, hehe! The story is pretty good, it touches me when the people were watching the Gundams fighting the Mariemaia Army and they decided to fight:-[. Zechs became an ally. Plus the animations and designs are good! Cant forget how the Wing Zero aimed at the presidential castle!
OVA
MS Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory
-- I never thought im gonna love this OVA! One of the best story and Gundam designs! I love every MS appeared on this series, from Powered-Up GM, GP01/FB, GP02A, GP03S/Dendrobium to Neo Zeon Xamel, Gelgoog Marine, Tetra Gerbera, Neue Ziel!!!

It's set in the UC and before the one year war ended. Although the Federation Pilots here were given the new "Gundam units", these are not the over powered units that we have come to expect. The ground team need to work as a team to take down their Zeon enemies and since the series is set on earth, they are also at the mercy of terrain and gravity. You start to get to know the characters as the series progresses as well as the politics that evolve officers. Really a more realistic look at war and more catered to the adult viewer. I guess the only things fans didn't like about the series is the how Shiro falls in love with Aina and eventually turns his back on his compatriots. Maybe we can attribute it to "Love at first sight" but to most fans it is highly unlikely that a officer of his stature will do this, but to me it's ok since it shows how love flourishes at time of conflict. Uber is right, EZ8 (Extra Zero 8) is not a new model but is comprised of scavenged parts. At the time units were lacking and the Feds are yet to be resupplied because they are also waging a bigger war in space and are assaulting a baou aqu (I don't know how to spell it but it's the equivalent of Hitler's "Wolf's Lair"). Shiro lost his unit in an encounter with the Apsalus unit piloted by Aina. The Gouf Custom that Norris pilots is a specialized unit built for mobility and strength. The only down side to this unit is it's longevity. Once it's ammunition is expended it only relies on it's melee weaponry. Does not carry beam weapons at the time. From what I know the first series of beam weaponry that zeon has devised were mounted on their magela space ships (Magela attack cannon) that were used by zakus but were ineffective because it's sheer size and weight. The GM sniper custom is also a great MS in this series... |

"The 08th MS Team was the longest-running Gundam OVA series, in terms of episode release schedule. Its final episode was released a full three and a half years after the series began, largely due to the sudden tragic death of director Takeyuki Kanda in a car accident in July of 1996. The series was later completed by a new director, Umanosuke Iida."

another trivia about the 08th MS Team... all of the Gundam RX 78-2(G) were only spare parts of the original Gundam RX 78-2. in other words, the federation gathered up all the Gundam RX 78-2 parts and build several more Gundam RX 78-2(G), 21 units were built i think? and 12 were assigned to the Kojima Battallion (the ground forces on asia to combat the zeon threat), MS Teams 01, 04, 08 and i don't know the other one hehehe
and i totally agree with lonewolf ;D i really find the 08th MS Team very realistic
ay another trivia... true that zeon wasn't able use the beam technology to their mobile suits but... they were able to do so and came out with the GELGOOGs. the gelgoogs were the only MS that used beam weapon technology during the One Year War, the Gelgoogs were the MS that could turn the tide of the war but unfortunately for zeon, the gelgoogs came out late in the war.

Yup the beams came in late and were only given to the Gelgoog piloted by Aces. However there Grunts were also able to get them in the form of the beam bazooka of the Rick DOM. Did you notice on this series that the Gouf Custom had extra clips on it's back. They did not show it reloading or make use of em though and the MG version did not have the extra clips. Planning on adding em on mine ;D |

TV Series: Gundam Seed! No questions asked! ;D Take the Strike and the other GATX models plus the Freedom and the Justice, you have yourself a full scale mecha ops!  I also like Zeta because of its dark and tragic story! Include the mechas in it! ;D TV OVA: Gundam Wing Endless Waltz! Great redesigns of the mechas! I used to go ga-ga over them until the Seed series showed up! ;D |

lonewolf: yup i noticed those clips, di mo lang siguro napansin pero pinakita nagreload ang gouf custom (i saw it with my own eyes). its in the 2nd to the last episode (Shaking Mountain Part 1), its the scene after the EZ8 was incapacitated by the gouf custom's heat rod (nun nawalan ng power ang EZ8) then when norris was about to shoot shiro, norris ducked behind the EZ8 to take cover from Karen and Sanders and while he was taking cover he reloaded his 3 barrelled machine gun and then in a few moments the EZ8 was up and running again and duking it out with norris and voila there you have it. check it out, im sure you just missed that scene.
