Question:
I heard there's a Rei Japan version and HK version. What's the difference between the 2? Are there 2 versions for Asuka as well?
Thanks in advance for the info. I got a Rei & Asuka (separate) set last week and Rei appears to be HK and Asuka JP. But I'm not sure. Can anyone explain how I can tell which is which?
Peace

But there are sum online stores that sells it with the jap rei and asuka sumtimes.

Peace the rei HK version would include a comic that's in chinese while the Jap version would include a comic in japanese. if youre the type that would not open the box, then check the back. there should be "special box" written on it. the jap version would have "special" written in japanese while the HK version would have "special" written in english. oh and the price is different as well. jap version usally goes for $60-80 while HK version $30-40. there's no news of an HK ver of the asuka fig. so if you got one then its the original. congrats on your haul.

to chaoz: why u like rei more than asuka? ;D
to richardthebrave: congarts in advance! were still trying to source more Reis and Asukas from Japan.. no luck...
to patacat: thanks!
to quattro: will know shield liger price in a few days.. sorry...
to rho: noted, thanks
to ultimate gaojp: no price yet, will know in a few days, sorry..
to shadowstrifer: per boxset of DBZ is 3000 pesos.. full set will all the balls etc..
to others regarding rei figure: the item was originally a Japan release with japanese comic book which we sold at around 2200 pesos 2 years ago.. then it was rereleased in the HK/Taiwan market with a Chinese comic book and marketed for a lower price of around 1500 pesos.. the toy is identical, only the comic book and wordings in the box is in chinese now.. Thanks

to sir malvs: hehehe... i like the quiet type, asuka is just plain big mouth, no offence to asuka fans ;D take this into considerations my fav anime character: Eva - Rei, Galaxy Angel - Vanilla, Teen Titans - Raven, Kiddy Grade - Lumiere, ... heheh see the trend? ;D
btw, hows the quality of the re-released rei in hongkong? ;D

So, if you have the asuka fig, the jap version are using rivets.
