just got my copy of 6. some interesting info:
i've managed to take shots of some pages using my phone. you can view them up here:
gundam news:
- the HGUC Dom "single" and the "triple threat" (tri-stars pack) are not the same. the single version is has parts for both basic dom and rick dom version. (the rick dom version comes with a beam bazooka and has aesthetic differences from the regular dom (longer rear skirt, bigger verniers, rocket-type foot design). its also looks compatible with the HGGS GSD stand.
the triple threat dom pack however, is only the dom type and has that clear movable stand to portray the jet stream attack and that clasped hands set to portray it smashing the midea. one impressive thing is that it also comes with clear parts that can be connected to a "launched bazooka" (think of the MG Acguy's missile launching gimmick).
a more up-close view of the monoeye system is shown. MG-ish, i'll say.
the HGUC rick dom will be released around jan.21 for 1700 yen while the triple threat dom set will be sold for 4200 yen with no date of release yet.
- the MG Nemo is aesthetically the same as the hcm pro with MG-esque articulation and gimmicks (hands and feet are like the mk.II ver.2.0)
-HGUC Palace Athene will be coming out around february 25 - it comes with the full monty: shield and anit-ship missiles. it will also be using the stand of the asshimar. also, the hands are MSiA-ish. on a side note, the design is RETRO, VERY RETRO.
- titans AOZ recolors of the MSiA marasai and Galbaldy Beta. (darkblue+yellow trimmings). it'll most likely be sold as a set.
there's also a THE-O MSiA coming out (most likely with new packaging to accomodate the movie promos, of course).
- new AOZ hazel designs:
"next generation prototype ms" - hazel body with gm quel body but with Mk.II backpack and the outer lower leg verniers is like the NT-1. it also uses the mk.II shield and beam rifle.
"next generation mass production ms" - a "next generation prototype ms" with a different torso.
"hazel rah" second form - a more meaner version of the hazel rah (note: the hazel rah is the name implied when the hazel custom and G-parts HDRURURU combined together). the noticable differences are that the g-parts system have prototype manipulators/arms (like the dendrobium?!). this second form can also accomodate the usage of the gaplant's external booster.
there seems to be a CG planning of the "modified g-parts" - perhaps dangeki's gonna release this as a freebie in their future issues?!
- sd strike freedom!
- HGGS akastuki-shiranui will be released on jan 28 for 2530 yen. as it is impressive, one thing that got me concerned about is a closeup pic of the arms-torso connection - its not a peg type but rather uses a ball joint wherein the socket is placed in the torso ( www.1999.co.jp/dbimages/user/hobby/itbig/10043208z.jpg something like a reversed design in FG kits?!).
- hcm-pro zeta gundam will be released on february with a pricing of 2500 yen. it features most capabilities of the zeta in the series (saber-rifle, etc) and has its own stand like that of the hcm-pro asshimar. it looks VERY posable.
- prototype pics of the EMSiA RX-78 shows a new design on the arms - the arms can be "extended" via "stop-plugs" rather than have a swiveling socket system(the concept is like that of the MG Zaku II F2). because of this, it can do the "last shooting" pose with no problems at all. on a side note, knee articulation looks untouched.
only the beam rifle and bazooka looks like it came from a new mold unlike the rest of the weapons loadout (javelin, hyper and gundam hammer). aside from the "tobe!" handsets, there's also this left "karate" hand piece.
- MSiA Bound Doc - VERY BIG. bigger than THe-O. add 4.5 inches from the EMSiA zeta. looks very articulated. seems transformable.
- hcm-pro zaku set (lunamaria's gunner zaku and rey's blaze zaku phantom) will be released late january for 4000 yen. it comes with a special box - dunno about it having a stand or somewhat.
- there's this new gashapon coming out: gundam seed the hyper hybrid which features sfreedom, ijustice, akatsuki shiranui and destiny. the finish is GFF-ish and the poses are really good.
- a section featuring the "U.C. ARMS GALLERY - msia-scaled, highly detailed weapons of zeon MS - made of harder plastic and are painted.
- model kit reviews: HGUC Gabthley (using a modified leg system), HGUC Asshimar (VERY LOVELY!), HGUC Hazel Rah, MG Zeta ver.2.0 (seems like it gives tips on simple painting+coating+panel lining), 1/100 Gaza-C haman karn custom (transformable!!!), HGGS murasame, 1/144 scratchbuilt OutFrame D
other gundam releases:
- colored manipulators for MG Mk.II Ver2.0, 1/144 legend gundam and 1/144 dagger 105 (not sure but its says 105 right there).
- b-club resin kits of gundam double x and gaza-C haman karn custom.

chogokin voltes V update: the back of the chogokin (panzer area) can open up to reveal a compartment where you can insert the generator thingy (where the mechanical eagle upgrades it with that new generator thingy). the mechanical eagle itself is impressive and the mechanism seems just.
some super robot release: dragonkizer which seems related to that truck robo thing that has a lion on its chest. king exkaizer pala.
- ths G1 convoy news: it comes with a trailer! the trailer has 3 modes - trailer, battle station and a somewhat "repair bay" for convoy. weapons also include that mighty axe, that nifty jetpack, a somewhat grapling cable and the trusty rifle.
and it comes with roller!
- tf update: there's this new blue planet sized unicron wannabe...
- new shaider and red gavin "lookalike" like the recently released gavin chogokin figure.
- a new highly detailed yamato figure?
- kotobukiya virtual on arphmnd the hutter (this will be my first virtual on kit!):
- armored core gaea
- new pics of the chogokin battle fever robo (eventually i dont like it but the assortment of weapons impresses me).
