Hi Dudes, you see i'm a bit of an ignoramous when talking about Gundam kits . . . the only Gundam model kit i have is this G Gundam . . . now i'm trying to dispose of it in the buy and sell section . . . i seem to remember that it was the MG version, but i was told that it looks like an HG instead . . . i wouldn't want to appear to be fooling people with false advertisement . . . so my question is, what's the key difference between the MG and HG version of G Gundam? Also, what's the value of this gundam that i have now? Here are pics: Left Side: Right Side: (i managed to find a sword holder and a sword's hilt)Back: pilot in wingless cockpit: Spare Parts: (one wing set is complete, the red part for the other broke a long time ago . . . also found a posable right hand, but tip of pinky finger is missing)In comparison with MSiA shining: also, does the MSiA shining gundam that i have still have any value? i'm really having trouble pricing/disposing these . . . any help or advise would be appreciated thanks! ;D

ei nice Gundam that you have there bro ;D ....
so the key difference of an MG kit is that it has an internal frame structure like um some sort of skeletal structure before you put in the armors and other parts. While the HG is a roughly an oversized or overstretch 1/144 wihtout the internal structure. My best guess so far for your G Gundam model kit is that is an HG.
I guess for your MSiA naman the best price you would offer is in between 500 to 600 pesos because a regular priced MSiA was around 800 or 900 plus. 600 is the best price for a second hand MSiA. ;D
I hope this helps ... ;D ;D ;D

I think that your God gundam is an MG. I have an HG God of the same scale and the c0ckpit doesn't have a separate pilot figure or the clear canopy.

It was a long time since i last bought the model kit . . . but i kind of remember a sort of skeletal structure when assembling it . . . i lost the manual and box when we moved to a different house . . . i wouldn't want to open the kit up just to see the internal frame strucure . . . are thaere any other indications so i could tell? Anyways even if it is just an HG, how much would be the value for something built with damages like this? BTW it has lights when you raise the chest armor, so i also put 2 AAA batteries in it . . . this was specified by the manual (not my customization) . . . does this info help? for the MSiA i just want to get rid of it, even at 300 or less . . . i didn't know that costed that much, i just got these as gifts/trade

A ok, then it could probably be the big scale 1/60 God Gundam if it uses 2 AAA for the lights like you've mentioned. I'm not quite sure about its value though. Dunno, probably 800 to 1K perhaps?

thanks you guys! this helped a lot ;D
hmm . . . i think i agree, it looks a lot like the 1/60 . . . even the box seems very familiar to me . . . so according to the website, this makes it an HG-EX?
what's the difference between HG and HG-EX? is the HG-EX just bigger?

The HGEX are about a foot in height with extra features like lights and some extra details. Their usual scale is 1/60. HGs are about 1/2 - 3/4 of a foot in height with a usual scale of 1/100. AFAIK, only the G Gundam series has kits with the HGEX classification. Gundam Seed also has 1/60 kits but I don't think they classify it as an HGEX.

eventually the 1/60 "hg-ex" line for the g-gundam series are only the shining and god gundam. wing also has a 1/60 but im not sure if its classified under the "hg-ex". there is also a V2 gundam thats classified under the "hg-ex" category as well.
eventually the new name for the 1/60 seed series (freedom, strike, strike+striker weapons system, force impulse gundam) is called "real detail".
bandai just loves mixing up the names.

OMg.. too many names.. buti pa date.. pag 1/144 either no grade of HG.. pag 1/100 HG.

That's the HG EX G Gundam. Based on its height and the individually articulated fingers.
