since we're talking abt jap foods might i make a suggestion? try komoro soba. good reasonable prices with lotsa servings. unlike tokyo tokyo or karate kid its not fast food. your meal is cooked while u wait. they got the best tongkatsu don ive ever tasted. yum yum. m gonna have lunch there tomorrow. hehehe.

i agree. burger machine is a contender. bart burger, bulilit burger (remember those?).. oh yeah good food, low price. pero tropical hut pa rin ang best burgers in town. sila lng ata ang pwede ka makakkuha ng burger n rare ang luto.

back then the family used to go to kamameshi house's west avenue branch - that was when i first became obsessed with japanese food - love their kamameshi chicken. im planning on going to THE NEW KAMAMESHI HOUSE... its one of my favorite restaurant when i was kid and i haven't visited one for more than a decade. i hope the food still taste the same? i've been to saisaki recently and frankly, they arent the same anymore - everything looks cheap and doesnt really have visual beauty - unlike how they were back then. usually a necessity in japanese cuisine is the presentation and visualization of the dishes and sushi... it just really isnt that beautiful anymore. UU sarap sa saisaki.. lalo pag eat all you can.. YUM!! *note to self: yayain ang family para kumain sa SAISAKI/DAD'S*

also dont forget their sansrival. their competitor minute burger is also notorious for their coleslaw on their burgers.
my friend and her boyfriend says that tropical hut is the best burger they've ever tasted - dunno why so i'll have to find out.
