when you visit japan, be sure to go to one of those sushi bars. you grab a seat around some sort of conveyor belt (yung parang luggage conveyor sa airport - but on a much smaller scale). tapos dun sa center nung conveyor, may mga gumagawa ng iba-ibang klase ng sushi and they put it on the belt. you grab what you want and eat (yumm pag magbabayad na, all they do is count the number of plates you have on your table (in 1999, it was 100 yen per plate, if memory serves me right) and watch out for the funny gramatically-incorrect signs, like the "Let's English!" Billboard in the Roponggi district. also not to be missed is the ginza district and the tokyo tower (parang eiffel tower in paris, less romantic of course ). also try going around using the subway and the JR (japan railways) lines. to complete your japanese-SOC expeience, visit asakusa and akihabara. i remember i saw a grendizer GX-04 there back in 1999 yata (medyo mura pa sya at that time) but i didn't buy it - hikbi - now I'm living with the regret .

It's called Sushi Boat. the plates are color coded.blue plates cost $4 while whites and printed ones cost $1.75. eh matakaw ako..so in one sitting i finish like 5 blue plates and 3-4 whites. shimasen! lol.

you've been to Roponggi ;D you know what that district is famous for, right? ;D ... there's also a store in gh that has the conveyor belt gimmick... i think it's called Genji... when you visit japan, be sure to go to one of those sushi bars. you grab a seat around some sort of conveyor belt (yung parang luggage conveyor sa airport - but on a much smaller scale). tapos dun sa center nung conveyor, may mga gumagawa ng iba-ibang klase ng sushi and they put it on the belt. you grab what you want and eat (yumm pag magbabayad na, all they do is count the number of plates you have on your table (in 1999, it was 100 yen per plate, if memory serves me right) and watch out for the funny gramatically-incorrect signs, like the "Let's English!" @ SGP: akihabara and asakusa are both in the tokyo prefecture. both of these places have their own designated stops on the tokyo subway system. despite the understandable apprehension of first-timers to use the tokyo subway, it's actually pretty straightforward. after one or two times, kuha mo na agad yung system. not like the subway ("metro") in moscow and paris. nakakahilo. especially if you don't speak/read russian.

Cool! Thanks for the info man. I'm guessing their subway system is similar to Hong Kong's or Singapore's. SGP
