Ok,ok this is what I can say about this darn, boring and immoral series...... 1st things 1st...... can't deny that am watching it from day one since my wifey and daughters are quite addicted to it and they usually watched it inside the master's bedroom, thus no choice for me. then 3 weeks ago I started a medical mission here in region 2. I though lusot na ako sa PBB thingy na yan, but to my dismay all the nursing staffs that were with us in the mission are again addicted to it... end result---> napapanuod ko pa din sya,hehehe....  no other form of relaxation here during the night time.  Here's what i gathered from all the kibitzers..... According to them the series claimed that this show is for the Filipino viewers to adapt their daily routines inside the house to each and every housemates.They also expressed that what we see in the series is just a daily routine of what every person does inside his or her house. Well, I don't agree with that..... we, at least me and my family, don't move around inside the house wearing skimpy clothes and makeups. we also usually don't discuss unnecessary things with each other and don't intend to mislead each other with false comments.. activities which are the usual occurrences inside the PBB household. SO HOW CAN WE SEE OURSELVES IN THEM as what the network is claiming Regarding most of the housemates... they are not typical Filipinos...... again, from what I gathered from the ever so loyal bungangeros and bungangeras who are with us here in region 2 were....... each and almost all of the housemates had a bad past...... one was a former japayuki, one was a battered child, another used to be an abused victim when he/she was a child, another's living in with an older man who used to help her during her younger years........... now, are they typical Filipinos... No!!! I think most of them has a MAALAALA MO KAYA something in their past. Pwede na palampasin sana...... UNTIL!!!!!! That episode wherein they should drink alcoholic beverages and had a Hawaiian kind of party. Man... I hated what I saw..... a girl wearing a sooo revealing type of 2 piece skimpy bathing suit, surely was tipsy, trying to seduce one of the guys.... doing a striptease like dance in front of the guy.... I MEAN..... in front of the cameras and all the million of televiewers INCLUDING teenage girls and guys who are all looking up to the housemates as their role models. As if it's not enough, the said tipsy girl forced the guy to dance with her, while she's still gyrating. Obviously the guy can't move nor can he even stand straight, since his thingy's kind of getting NOTICEABLE, hehehehe........  Then the girl sat on the lap of the guy, still gyrating, and then they had a smack, a slurrppp and all of that...... camera panned to another view ...... another pair of housemates were shown doing their own thingy on the pool.... That's all I saw cause I moved away from the television and never watched it again. NOW......I ain't a moralista nor a pagood effect papogi points kind of a guy, I also have some flaws... BUT enough is enough, the network should have atleast edited those portions. I mean, it's their private thingy no need to scandalize lots of televiewers especially with a lot of kids, teenagers and Filipino mentalitied folks out there watching it. ONE SIMPLE THING I CAN SEE HERE......the network can't think of any ideas to topple their rival station to get the ratings, so... they resorted to malicious tactics. These housemates are being exploited without them knowing it, or maybe they knew it and they're just allowing it to happen so that they'll make a name in the movie world.... I do believe this series is scripted and the network,scriptwriter and the director are twisting the faith of all the housemates so that there'll be something to talk about each and every episode. Plain and simple EXPLOITATION.  No, am not against the said network nor am I a friend of their rival network, am just viewing here my comments and what my personal feeling for the tv series are... plain and simple ...... MGA SIMPLENG KOMENTARYO KO LANG PO, huwag po magalit, nagpapaliwanag lang po,hehehe...... ;D |

Well, this is another case of a show that's run purely by "Marketing" principles and "Business" tactics. It's true that the housemates are really being manipulated... Subtley... refinely being manipulated.. We know it.. They don't.. Or if they do.. They really can't do anything about it!
Now, the good side about PBB is we know how gullible and utterly stupid human beings can be.. How selfish and arrogant people can become.. What other people do or say behind other people's backs... "Ito ang teleserye ng totoong buhay".. They're the "subjects" of this experiment.. and we're all the MAD SCIENTISTS observing them... Marking them off.. Who is X who is Y or Z.. Which one can make it.. Who can't..
It's one sick game in a sense.. Just like boxing.. in a way... sabong ng mga tao.. But PBB is even sicker... because we're not dealing only of the physical "bouts" but also of emotional manipulation..
As I said... "MARKETING" principles and "BUSINESS" tactics... PBB is there because a lot of people are entertained by it... And PBB is just one of the many shows under this new genre of TV shows called... [glow=red,2,300]"REALITY TV SHOW"[/glow]

The irrony about it was, the people have no clue.... That they are showing what we call, "their true colors in public." But don't have a clue that they are... Like all things. its funny if your not the one who is making a moderate fool or the gullible one. But when its in the other side of the coin, its rude, hurtfull. And its unfair. ...sad really, But, you know, its show us a lesson in life too. That, beauty is only skin deep. that, not all you see about a person are true... But it also, shows who is a real person to the loser or to the jerk form the saint. Or a person of dignity to the person who has no respect to themselves. Harsh, but true... i say. |

i find the show pathetic as its more of a reality-based "cash-cow" than a reality show... you text in your votes (which cost you), and you have to buy "prepaid" viewing cards to watch the online versions which are "uncut"...
its really pitiful that people are really that gullible these days over anything that has "reality" in it... and the network behind this show exploits it to the fullest for one reason - profit.
