Back in the old GT board, everyday it's a norm for me to go to the net & check Greattoys board. Much of the toys posted I don't have any idea since I'm into Zoids only. But reading & gathering infos I start collecting the Soul of Chogokin line  It's a pity that we loose the old board because of the update  anyway at least this new board gets active again, kudos to garvy & gold always I learn something new ;D ... Just wishing that I can still read more often informative inputs from these 2 fellow: - KOJI -- toys (SOCs, Daigokin), manga, anime & almost everything under the sun ;D
- seele01 -- gachas, anime & manga,
And how can I forget animedetectiveX ;D he always makes my day  Cheers to everyone ;D dri1 I now read more than I post here. There was a lot of offline drama before that I just felt it was not worth it to stay and continue posting. You can take only so much crap. Just to be clear, I have no problem with this site’s owner. It has also been a lot more fun for me to hang out offline with other collectors and talk about toys and other things than just post. I believe some of the ‘regulars’ can share stories about how wonderful some collectors are online, but turn out to be a complete ‘prick’ offline. I can go on and on, but I might be accused of posting ‘spam.’ ;D And yeah, Spam Lite or Tulip luncheon meat for me. |

Yup...I agree with you on this one. This is a just a message board..a good place where people can talk and exchange info, experiences, buy/sell/trade, etc. But its really much better when you meet and interact with other collectors offline. The great thing about this is that although you start out as co-collectors...this can expand to friendships and even more...even beyond your common hobby. However, it can also go the other way.  And yes, it is difficult to judge a book by its cover. Collectors may seem cool and great on the boards but turn out to be total 'pricks'. The opposite is also true. I now read more than I post here. IMHO theres too much drama on-line nowadays. Basta for me, this is a hobby we should all enjoy. When it gets to personal na nakaksira na or can hurt other people thats when we should draw the line. Toy collecting should be fun and not be an additional stress giver. Kung sa office and bahay madami nang stress tapos when you go online you deal with other collectors who just cant seem to grow-up, then whats the use pa diba? Thats why you cant blame other people for not posting online regularly. But thats just me.....  |

still visit every so often. Don't post as much anymore because some people take this hobby too seriously and find it difficult to appreciate sarcastic humor. Don't really want to offend anybody or add more stress to anybody's life, so we thought it might be better to take our humor to another site or offline where we can't offend anybody.

I never had the chance to enjoy the old boards since I was just a newbie when it shut down. I appreciate being part of the new boards cause I got to meet other people who enjoy and appreciate the things that I also collect. ;D I am a shy type so I do not get to meet people all the time cause I tend to do things by myself. I got to meet interesting people and learned a lot of things. I am just saying "THANK YOU" to all the people here! |

Most of the time I chat with fellow collectors through MSN Messenger na lang para mabilis, and also helping out with M's wedding preparations. Btw, congrats M-chan!!! ;D |
