I'd buy a house or two and rent it out. That way I'd have money coming in every month without having to work for it Happy Collecting, Dencio

Invest about 4M in a bank and gov security bonds. Buy a lot for my future house. Buy some toys that I'm looking for (wisely) and treat my loved ones to dinner and maybe spend 3D and 2N with my girlfriend in Singapore or HK. La nako maiisip eh. ^_^

Hmmmm....probably start my own toyshop. In such manner, I can enjoy my collecting hobby and at the same time offer to you guys a great source of toy collectibles (2nd to gt ofcourse, hehehe... (",) ).
Ohhh.... I'll put it up beside my clinic....free eye, ear, nose or throat consult each time you guys visit my toystore AND a free EENT diagnostic procedure of your choice for every purchase you make (",)
Now...now...where's that 10 million pesos??? (",)

I'll probably put 70% of it in a bank. Then invest 25% in something like stocks or a small business. And the remaining 5% pang bili ng toys syempre. XD

Putting money in the bank is the safest albeit worst option, from an investment point of view. Yes you will get x% per month guaranteed, but your capital does not grow. Given the rate of inflation in the Philippines, it won't be long before your money will not buy as much as it would have today.
Here's an example. My granma told me that back in the 50's a bottle of coke costs 5 centavos. So if you had P1,000 back then, you'd be pretty rich coz you'd be able to buy 20,000 bottles of coke. Now, how many bottles of coke can you buy with your P1,000? 50? Had you put your money in the bank, you would've earned interest but you would still only have your original P1,000 now (assuming you spent the interest earned).
A better option would be to put the money in assets that grow. My granny also said that at the time you could buy a house for a few thousand pesos. If you used your P1,000 as a downpayment to buy a P10,000 house, you could easily be sitting on an investment worth a few million pesos. You would've been earning rent from that as well through the years, and although in the beginning you wouldn't have much to spend as the rent money would be paid to the bank, eventually the rent will increase and you will pay off your loan. Soon you will have a nice rental income AND an appreciating asset!
ps for those who said they would put money in the bank, please do not take this message the wrong way. it is simply my opinion and is not meant to be offensive. i recognise that each person's situation is different and that in some cases putting money in the bank is the best option.
happy collecting,
dencio
