hmmm..add the u.m.beam and ground fire effect and maybe get a stand for the upper torso only move ala tikbalang haha ;D.i think that's the episode where the frigate was damaged and they need to volt it out for repairs while the upper body and the lander continues with the battle.

im a newbee here, thats what some would call me, buy this is a forum and my answer to retooling and repainting my SOC voltes is. YOU BET I WOULD! but after i played with it. i found my voltes too bland with it's color. ill post some pictures if i could. my unit right now has scratches, dents, wear, tear all over and needs a major paint overhaul. but that is after i played with it. i aim to play with my voltes until i get my 8.5k worth of it.

what kind of repainting will you do with it to punch up the appearamce?
Will you do a GODAIKIN repaint? like put numbers on the machine? or put chrome stickers to the belly?
etc etc...

ive painted and played warhammer for years now. i would do highlights, drybrushing, and maybe repaint the silver to look like the anime colors. from my point of view the colors are too plain and bland. i also dont like the shiny gloss of the paint. i would paint it like the texture of the flat black mazinger from the earlier SOCs.

most of all the chest piece where the laser sword comes from should be highlighted with pink like the anime and the corners of the laser sword itself, (the folding one) should be highlighted with thunder colors of sky blue and white drybrushing.

voltes v should look like the hero that saved the earth from the bozanians so some battle damage is necessary. right now he looks like a used car salesman with his shiny new paint job. that is too bland for me. he is a fighter not a lover. but first, ill play with colors untill i get the right flat texture.
