Some Joe news for ARAH fans from the NY Toy Fair. toynewsi.com/news.php?catid=288&itemid=16891Incoming Vehicles -Crimson Hiss -Black Dragon VTOL -Vamp (again?) - SKY STRIKER!! Though it's not an exact reissue, now only seats 1 figure (sigh, guess it'll be like the Night Raven), it will come with Ace. SDCC will have a repaint of Sky Striker done in Starscream colors (won't transform), comes with Cobra Commander and a Megatron gun ( a la Gi Joe/Transformers). -Upcoming GI Joe ARAH 30th Anniversary in 2012, 30 items (a mix of figures and vehicles based on ARAH?) planned for celebration (<-- I really hope we get more figures than reissued vehicles here, lots of core characters missing in 25th style) -Renegades line to have Techno Vipers and Hazard Vipers? Thanks Gold for the update. I noticed that renegades Cobra Commander looks like Old Snake who appeared in Transformers G1 Season 3, it needs a hat to recreate the character... ;D   |

For those who are curious as how to tell which POC Hisstank you might be getting (Brown or Black), here's a sure way. generalsjoes.com/reviews/2011/pursuit_of_cobra/vehicles/hiss_black.htmlLook for the impression stamp on the box (reviewer highlighted the numbers blue to make them more visible). Anything with the stamp number 2382 and up[/color] eg. 2383

2385 and upshould be the black version POC Hiss Tank, supposedly. The Brown version is the first version released, Hasbro later released a black version but used the same box as the brown, as a result, there's some confusion as to tell which is which. Hopefully this will help folks out. Gold |

New upcoming items revealed at the ongoing Joecon 2011 Lifeline  Renegades Airtight  Renegades Ripcord  Renegades Trooper  Renegades Law and Order   POC Data Viper (with Predator UAV Drone)  POC Zombie Viper?  -Most of everything is coming out Fall 2011 (around Oct, I guess). -Not much new vehicles. -The Armor cycle and Hiss Scout are now online exclusives. -Mech suits wave 2 is now cancelled (no more Alpine or Desert Scorpion) -Hasbro still says no to USS Flagg and Terror Drome sized playsets. -Lifeline, Sci-fi, Airtight all come with removable helmets. -Renegades Cobra Commander to have 2 interchangable heads -Croc Master to have Python Patrol variant -Data Viper is meant to be "next generation" Techno Viper -Zombie Viper looks to be from a POC storyline, Cobra Commander now has something called Compound Z -new POC Vamp is now Green similar to classic colors -Skystriker is confirmed one-seater -Unrevealed 7 pack in the works, to be released before year end -No foreseable price increase in Joes. More "I wish this came out" items aside from Omega Supereme, Including ROC USS Flagg (guess this confirms the old wikipedia post last year that later got edited), a retooled Joe PIT HQ under Cobra (looks way better), reissued Joe Mauler Tank under Cobra, and a Retooled HISS Tank III. There seems to be a running change to the POC Cobra Viper that's coming up in the new waves. generalsjoes.com/2011/06/20/more-carded-images-emerging-from-the-canadian-joecon/The gauntlets are now red instead of blue, making the newer ones more 25th accurate. The cannon has also been replaced with 3 other machine guns and the packaging art "backdrop" has also been changed. Also there's supposed to be a change with the Iron Grenadier as well (no camoflauge?) but I can't seem to spot any difference. Gold |
