According to Bizzio of RobotJapan, Max Factory supposedly plans to release Godannar next. Funny part is, I remember Max Gokin 3 to be MegaZone 23's transforming Garland Bike, and Max Gokin 4 to be Tv version Gaogaigar.. at least that was the announced lineup from last year. Hehe, hope they make a Big-O Max Gokin, too.  Gold |

Here's an animated GIF. He doesn't have much in terms of moves or weapons. Mostly ala Daimos, physical attacks and deathblows. He gets one big, bad sword but he only used it once in the final battle.  Godannar is a combination of 2 mechs. A guy mech and a girl mech, girl mech transforms into a new torso piece then merges, and then guy mech(Dannar) changes body color(blue to red) and gets fiery hair. The show mostly centers on the newly wed pilots, about all the problems of being married and being team mates at the same time. The fights and enemies seem like props in the backdrop of the show, although there are a LOT of robot fights. The heroes also have a "Robot group", ala G Gundam's Shuffle Union, each pilot/ super robot hailing from a different nationality. Hehe, medyo PG-15 nga lang ang rating ng show since there is a lot of Boob bouncing amongst other things ;D Gold |

mean looking monster gold. especially like the flaming head bit. is that permanent while in robot form or just for show when he's using special moves?

His head-flame is always on when he's in combined mode. hehe. The anime is only so-so. Could've been better if some of the lead characters (mainly the teenager wife) didn't whine so much... sheesh sometimes finoforward ko nalang just to skip to the mech action.
I'd give the show a 3/5. ;D.. hehehe, sorry but the overuse of bouncing boobs on the show was too sexist for my taste.. even if there weren't any frontal nude scenes in the show ;D

I like the color scheme on the picture above. ;D Was surfing the net about Godannar and I was fairly surprised why some pics were kind of hentai looking.

Yeah, they did over do it a bit.
BTW, in the pic, you can see the sword behind Godannar. Hehe. Wonder when this will be out?

Update: The price tag for this sucker is now 18900Yen(unconfirmed)!! Due Feb-March 2006. Kinda weird why mas mahal siya kay SOC Voltes, considering it doesn't combine/transform and the accessories are few(he uses his hands to fight most of the time, so not much accessories/weapons in the anime), let's hope the price was misquoted.
