I was watching the Mazinger Z Movie Collection the other day and saw an episode of an unknown robot (to me). While trying to listen to the Japanese words being spoken, it sounded like the robot's name was "Izer" or something like that and to top it off, the name of the hero is "Duke Fleed". Now I thought this was just a prequel to Grendizer, since the characters were very similar. Now, when I was looking through my Project The Soul of Chogokin magazine, I came across the prototype SOC of Gattaigar. Now Gattaigar is very similar to Izer (the one I mentioned above). I'm very confused now.  Who's Gattaigar? Can someone please help before my head explodes... Thanks. ;D SGP |

i'm not qualified to answer this pero kapalan ko lang ang mukha ko! ;D yan yata yung unang parang grendizer, tapos ni redone ni Go Nagai yung robot thus UFO Robo Grendizer was born! ;D
kung narinig mo na yung "Uchuu no Ouja Grendizer" song from grendizer and "Tatakae! Uchuu no Ouja" from Gattaigar almost identical yung lyrics nila just replace the word "Grendizer" to "Gattaiga" xerox copy ang labas. heheheh

yup... that's right... he is grendizer's prototype...
... dunno what happened in between... but apparently grendizer was approved... and he got his own series...

If I remember right that pic is supposedly a custom and not a prototype( I may be wrong) It appeared in the SOC Project Ironsoul encyclopedia.
Good thing they changed the whole concept, Gattaiger's story was kinda dull and boring(he had a oneshot movie in the the Mazinger Movies DVD collection), even design-wise, it looked too simplistic.
There was a one-shot manga called the "Great UFO war", it starred both Gattaiger and Grendy, crossing paths, hehehe.

yep! pogi points parin kay grendy. ;D Hehe, no offense Majingaa, but I think Gattaiger saved the day in that one(we saw Grendy pretty much trapped).. or was it Koji who saved the day? He did free Grendy with his little ray gun ;D ;D ;D. Gold |

Who's Gattaigar? Can someone please help before my head explodes...
