The January 2007 Previews Catalog has started solicitations for a Soul of Chogokin EVA-01 Tamashii Special Die-Cast. Based on the description, it seems to be the SOC Spec EVA-01. SRP: US$62.99.

BTW, for those curious with the Soul Spec 01 Eva01, there have been numerous reports of the hip joint easily breaking. Design flaws are the culprit supposedly. One guy over at ToyboxDx even jokingly nominated the toy as "Most Broken toy of 2006" in their "Toy of the Year" thread...

Whether Bandai fixed this in the upcoming releases time will tell.

Whew! It's been a while since I updated this thread.





Anywho, the Dragonar is out for 7500 Yen (pics courtesy of Toyskingdom and Toyboxdx)





Based on the reviews over at Toyboxdx, the Dragonar is really good, even better than the SOC Ideon according to one poster.









Spec 06 is also Dragonar-1 but comes with flight pack and cabarrier-0 mech unit. Due out December for 9000 Yen.










Spec xs-07 Black Sarena (villain mech from Martian Successor Nadesico Movie) is also coming early next year.





Spec XS-08 will be TV version Eva 02

Just wondering, Daimos will not be an SOC Spec line release yes?

I'm a little worried because since Daimos is more on his Hand to hand Karate moves, Bandai will make him into the SOC Spec line instead of the regular SOC line that transforms.

I don't think Daimos will be part of this line, Spec releases so far have concentrated on "Real Robot" type mechas.
