Here's the collectiondx article ------------------------------------------------------------------------- www.collectiondx.com/node/2230First up is a set of beautiful bookends featuring the Castle of Lions and Voltron on one end and a robeast on the other.  The smaller scale Voltron shown last year was replaced with a larger plastic one that is the same size as the Masterpiece version with an expected cost of $60. The toy features the same sculpt as the diecast counterpart just at a lower price point. Also shown was a new display stand for Voltron. This stand will be sold separately and come with blades for each of the Lions as well as a Lion key. A follow up on this, just saw it in Previews Magazine, the release is around Sept. (what is it with toy makers and September releases?).
I didn't see the display base being offered for preorder though. Strange.

Personally I think the lack of chrome makes the first release chromed diecast version look superior.  yes the diecast version is trully a masterpiece great for show off display purposes while the other one for playabilty but i heard the the price was somewhat  |

If I'm on a tight budget, the plastic version of voltron would be ideal. It is still a voltron.
