I'm planning to get a BT soon. Any advices or things to watch out for? I'm quite worried about paint chipping, though what I plan to do is to open the box, transform once then back to vehicle mode then back to box for dust-free display.

grimlock and wheeljack are the toughest imo to transform. chipped my grimlock's legs transforming back to car. careful with tracks and the subarus(robo to car mode). the rest are easy esp the vipers

I had some problems with the really tough leg joints on the BT Prowl, resulting in some paint chipping during the transform. I recommend either blue Tracks, or Blue/Silverstreak for a first BT, or get Smokesceen, he's nice too. Gold

Get them all!!! Haha... Just watch out when you transform. You might unintentionally scratch the paint jobs on the BTs.

will be getting either dead end or overdrive, are they hard to transform? After I transform them I'd put them back to box in car mode.

But seriously, I was also thinking of getting some BTs to play and display. Now I have no idea how much these things go for but a friend in HK is closing his store and most of the items are in sale prices. (in hkd 1Hkd=6.9Php) Are these prices good? I really have no I idea about TFs. The only TF I have are the masterpieces. I'm planning to get the cheapest one...I'm just gonna play with it afterall. They also have the ones with the little female figs. What's the difference with the ones without? Peace

BTs I think cost around 2700 up here. That's a good price imo.

As it was discussed above TF Binaltechs seem to have a bigger chance of paint chipping. So I can't recommend playing with them. But it's your decision.

Paint chipping's not a serious problem to me, and I'm a little rough with my BTs. For me, the toughest to transform is the Silverstreak/Smokescreen mode from robot to car. Stupid knees are difficult to bend when you've straightened them out, because I'm afraid of accidentally snapping off the rear windshield.
If you're planning to collect all BTs, I suggest you get all those you saw in HK. They're a lot cheaper than how much you'll buy them here, even Skids.

Overdrive isn't that hard to transform, just be sure to check the painted logo on the car hood, I didn't notice mine was poorly painted until I opened the toy.. sigh. As for Dead end, just look out for the sides of the hood when you transform him back to car mode from bot mode. I made the mistake of not properly aligning the legs/front part of the car, so when i closed the hood, the hood's sides got scratched. Hehe, good prices on the BTs, more or less the price is 1000-1900 per Bt, hehe, but I think BTs don't sell well in Hongkong... guess too many tf toys already flood the market.. Gold

they are selling it more cheaply than some loose BT's... wow!! but them again... the fare to hongkong and accomodation prices would definitely kill your pocket ...

I think I'll get Alternators instead. I'm quite the type of buyer who likes to check his new toys every now and then so I'll probably get an Alternator.
