heyo! how many versions of [glow=red,2,300]optimus primes[/glow] have there been? counting the beastwars and takara versions? also have they all been released as toys?

to answer that,there are at the least, a hundred version of optimuse prime. from gasha to transforming big toys. to the smalest statue. ( even i can coremember every op that came out. that goes the same to megatron.

yeah, i think you'd be a lot better off restricting your search to just toys, and even then just prime or convoy. there's no TELLING how many non-toy artifacts based on prime or convoy there are... PVC's, PVC variants, Kabaya candy/gum snap-together models...

Also, you should consider there are other convoys/leaders who aren't named optimus/prime/primal.
Star Saber and Dai Atlas are two such leaders.

Are you planing to collect all of the primes? or just the vehicle mode types? or what? it will helpif you forcus on sumline of op first thengo wit the rest when you completed the first set. ^^

well i am considering collecting the optimus primes vehicle modes from the present transformers series. i got the powermaster optimus,beastwars op primal,transmetal optimus,takara beastwar lion version. interest got piqued when i passed by best and saw another optimus dont know if its armada or energon..but it was selling at p3k less...says it was discounted...

well i am considering collecting the optimus primes vehicle modes from the present transformers series. i got the powermaster optimus,beastwars op primal,transmetal optimus,takara beastwar lion version. interest got piqued when i passed by best and saw another optimus dont know if its armada or energon..but it was selling at p3k less...says it was discounted... It is probably energon/superlink prime. If you are interested in getting the Primes, suggest you focus on getting 1 mold of each prime/primal/convoy. It won't be as expensive.  |

If you're looking for all version of Optimus Primes (Convoys, Primes, Primals) it may be a lot. I opted to collect only those convoys which are poseable and it took me 19 figures (and I was very picky mind you). If you do however decide to get only the OPs with vehicle modes it might be easier. My best bet would be the following: (Considering there will only be one mold per series) - G1 Optimus Prime - Powermasters OP - G2 Optimus Prime (laser) - G2 Optimus Prime (hero) - RID Optimus Prime - Armada Optimus Prime - Energon Optimus Prime - Cybertron Optimus Prime * MP-01 would be G1 Optimus Prime. The htf ones in that list would be the first four since they're all pretty old and possible expensive (if you get an MP-01 as your G1 OP rep). However the G2 Laser Prime would be re-issued in the following months. I suggest you make up a checklist of Primes that you want to get so that you can be more focused on what you will be getting as the actual number of Primes, Convoys, Leader-classes in existence is quite a lot.
