Hi TF collectors. I am planning to start collecting tfs, And as a newbie I want to have optimus as my no. 1 priority in my list of tfs to buy. I already have the titanium war within optimus so I want to ask for your help.
If m going to buy an optimus prime, what do you recommend? my budget is around 2.5K-4k.btw, I prefer the original form of optimus.

Get MP-01 re-issue since this is closer to your budget but you still have to shell out a couple of bucks - MP-01 sells at around P5K. Now if you want a good G1 Prime then go for the THS-02 G1 Convoy which costs at around P4K. Now as you know MP-01 is not complete since it has no trailer. Get MP-04 for around 8K with trailer but no roller : (.

I suggest you go for THS-02 G1 Convoy. It is a master piece on its own right... highly articulate, balance diecast parts, durable and eye pleasing.

There's the MP-1 at about P4.7 and the Hasbro "DVD ver." Prime at the same price range (P4.4 or so). There's Galaxy Convoy/Cybertron Optimus for about P3k max. He's a good buy. There the Galaxy Convoy THS-01 for slightly higher (P3.3k). I don't remember how much G2 Prime costs but I would say about budget about P3k for it. Same goes for Star Convoy which could be around P3.5. Energon and Armada Primes are about P2.5k each out there. That's all I can think off right now. GT's got a good selection of Primes out there! |

Parts of Optimus is made of die-cast. The rest is plastic. The die-cast content way smaller than the Titanium series. Playable? Yes. It has the most complete trailer and possibly one of the more posable transforming G1 Primes out there. Durability....hmmm... well, it's more durable than a HCM Pro but the ball joint at the waist would get loose w/ wear and tear and you'll get problems transforming him from robot to truck. In terms of value, which is better? the ths-02 or the galaxy force(GC01) Galaxy convoy.
What is the difference between the galaxy convcoy and the ordinary convoy(the G1 look)?
if m going to use size as basis, GC01 is better than ths02. But If the whole package and the design will be the basis, i think ths02 is better..sori guys but I really need help. I don't want to spend money with something that will make me feel disappointed.

ths-02 convoy is g1 prime shrunk though more detailed while galaxy convoy is a futuristic firetruck. if you want a g1 prime that you can play with get mp01 over ths-02 since the latter is more fragile and more meant for display as well as looking better boxed.

I just want to know where can i get one OP voyager. most of the stores in GH are already sold out. And in some stores, you have to buy megatron before you can get the Optimus:(

Hey don't feel down it's part of toy collecting. I heard that Playkit will be distributing Transformers Classics but no word on when and how many since Playkit has had this habbit of not churning out that many stocks so always be on the lookout; always SM Toykingdom just to be safe. If you can't wait guess you have to buy Megs & Prime as set as you said on your previous thread. If you what to start low then get Robotmasters g1 Convoy its less than 1K and a pretty descent figure sans the trailer of course. |
