kamen / masked rider 555 / faiz is almost finished on GMA7, the episode where masato kusaka died was aired sometime last weekend.
tentatively, kamen / masked rider BLADE will be aired after kamen / masked rider 555 / faiz's run, supposedly starting march 24. no news if it will be a daily thing but it will most likely be once on saturdays and sundays also.

Cool! Masked Rider Blade is a great show, really. Better than Faiz, I must say. And yes, card based systems again, like Ryuki, though more focused.
The henshin system lacks oomph though... but that's just me.

am watching episode 1 right now on gma, at about 9:00AM. it has cuts, i dont know why those scenes in particular are edited out, like kotaro and kazuma's first conversation in the cave. then they retained the japanese voice of the computer when they whip out a special attack.

Mee too I've watch the first episode...I don't if you haven't notice GMA7 most of it commercial are plugs instead of advertisement.
If you've done this. Look at a clock when GMA set into a commercial notice the duration. It will take 2-3min. NO JOKE each plug consist of 30 seconds. And ofcourse finally notice the air time of the show it only consist of 2.30 min. only then PLUGS again.
In total the air time of the show is about 15-17mins in duration( excluding the opening and the ending plus the annoying cuts). The rest Show PLUGS!!! I think the network is more concern about the PLUGS and its annoying coz its alway repeating the same PLUGS per commercial break

the reason why it is mostly if not all plugs right now is coz the show is only on its second day of airing and no sponsors have decided to pick it up yet. this is usually because sometimes, there are shows like this where sponsors are given no idea how it will perform in the ratings war and so they are not sure if they want to advertise when it is on.
yeah it seems that this show is being used as a FILLER.
saw episode 2 today and there were again, so many cuts, in the beginning, in the end, and plenty in the middle! i thought they were cutting away the scenes with the long conversations to keep it action packed [there are a lot of conversations in the show to slowly reveal facts about the BOARD organization] but they also cut away at the fight scenes!
BTW blade has no ending sequence talaga... the scene just fades into the floor of cards, which is also how it starts.
17 mins huh? it would be so tempting to just record this each time and upload it on youtube.

If you watch the previous episodes of Faiz they've done the same, that's why I came up with analyzing the duration of the show.  its alright to cut the speech and conversation but the fighting thats a no no. (Kaya nga lang ako gumigisng ng maaga ng weekends para manood lang nun eh.) Its irritating sometimes to the aspect of the viewers because when they showing the PLUGS on the commercial break and when the show is running they still plug the same commercial plugs on the bottom of the show. I don't know whats wrong with the network but its their strategy we can't do anything about it. PEACE ;D ;D ;D |

that's really how it is here... at first i thought they were gonna cut one episode into 2 so that they can air more episodes, but that isnt what they are doing, they are just shortening each episode.
with their korean shows like jumong and jewel in the palace, each episode is supposed to be an hour long but they cut it up so each episode becomes 3-4 episodes... that's why those shows seem to take forever to end...

That's what hurts these shows, really. Faiz was like that! Too many uneven cuts and commercials / plugs ruin the immersion... Feh! Tha being said, hopefuly it gets better, since Blade is an awesome show. Great story and character development.

i just saw episode 3 this morning. the cuts are really excessive. but i am happy about the fact that the show has sponsors now and gma made some plugs for it. but their plug for it has a lot of mistakes, they said the rider system was made by a secret organization and the riders were called masked rider blade, isnt blade is just one of the 4? then the picture they used that had the riders in it i think was from the missing ace movie so there are riders in the picture that wont even be shown in the series, as of this posting, telesuccess did NOT buy the movie [missing ace].
anyway, back to the cuts, i never thought i would say this coz i hate hero... but i thnk we should just wait for hero to air this show [which they most likely will after faiz is finished]. this is coz hero has no sponsors [which will eventually lead to their downfall] and they dont edit their shows. they show it as is. it really annoys me to think gma cuts about 7-8 minutes per episode. that's almost 1/3 of the show gone!

there was no masked rider blade on gma this morning and looks like there wont be any tomorrow. for holy week, gma is airing hamtaro, jacky chan adventures and detective conan. i dont know why they decided to not show kamen rider blade and hajime no ippo...
btw they are showing a teaser that SHAIDER will be aired again...

Hahaha! Nice observation!  Actually, my mom (would you believe my mom is watching Kamen Rider with me, ain't that cool or what?!) was reacting to that brat Amane. Sabi nga n'ya eh kung anak daw n'ya si Amane, kurot sa singit ang inabot n'un, heheheh! But about the plugs, that's the problem with the big, local channels like GMA, the commercials eat up most of the air time. Kaya nga nagulat na lang ako, tapos na 'yung program! Pero cool 'yung Blade, para s'yang Ryuki, but with a different set of card decks. |
