Operation Dagdag-Bawas PG 00 Clear Parts

Ok, so that is me doing the dagdag-bawas. That hanging on the wall is my mini collection. And thats my 2-yr old baby playing with my camera. Now showing – Mama Mia!



Worked on the right foot first…



I did not remove the bottom parts not because I cant, but because the PG 00 Clear Parts package does not come with the anti-slip decals for the feet. They should have provided that.



Right thigh-leg section…

Skirt armors. Ok, so by now you would have guessed how I want it to be - half clear, half normal. Note that the manual was designed to replace ONLY those plates that can easily be taken off. It was not designed to replace all the armor plates but the package does come with all the pieces.



Right arm and shoulder plate. It’s A-ok…



Right GN drive. This came in pre-assembled in the PG 00 package so no dagdag-bawas on that piece. Bandai should have provided another pre-assembled set with clear parts though. but maybe that's asking too much.



And here’s how the assembled lower body looks like…



Again, I just want to reiterate that the manual was designed to take off only those plates that can easily be removed and replaced. Replacing the whole armor plates means risking on breaking something. There has been warnings about that published all over the internet and I think we are all aware of that at this point. HOWEVER, based from my experience, I did not break any piece [yet]. So it is doable. Dalong was able to replace all the parts (or maybe he has 2 kits, i dont know). But im doing it and i am half way through. And im sure you can do it as well. The key here is patience when removing the plates. DO NOT force anything.

So that’s that. I’ll continue with the upper body tonight. That's if i can resist not playing God of War III.

Yes. It is already on display Im on a temp assignment here in the US so im not investing on fancy cabinets that I will leave behind. For now, that is my display.
