bro, question lang... i got curious lang lately on your O. before the gloss topcoat, did you use clear paints over your base paint, in order to achieve that bling-bling look? thanks in advance.

Sorry for the late reply. Been busy with my new job, not much time to even finish my kit, but I'm having free time again ;D


Regarding your question, I've used GSI super silver as my base coat, then use a mixture of clear orange and clear yellow for that look. Coat with a layer of gloss, then decal, then gloss again.

And finally, which I forgot to mention to MannyD I've used a polishing compound to let it have a mirror finish ;D

oks lang yun, brod ryuhao. thanks sa insights about metallics & clear colors. yun nga lang, i can't do that method (mixing clear colors) kasi wala akong AB, puro spray cans lang binibili ko. atleast, i can still do that din with sprays. i heard my available na spray cans nang clear colors nang GSI.

he used tamiya acrylic clear blue over a chrome undercoat (lacquer base), then applied an acrylic base gloss top coat. Steel (lacquer) for the leg/arm armor and the minigun. the other bare metal parts he used again a chrome undercoat, then polished aluminum (lacquer).

it looks great too , i'm attracted to models with metallic finish.
