dj898what type of paint you use sir for washing? do you used oil-based paints for your base color and use water-based for the washing? xentaryup it's still priced 700php as of presetn, the priced uj gave was like he said "10 years ago", although i still doubt it's just ten years ago when he's still in college, seems like it should be more than 10 years ago. . .

it really doesn't matter as long as you use glossy top coat to seal that way when you do the wiping you won't damage the base colour
however if you paint the base colour in Lacquer based paint you can use thinned Enamel for washing and not using top coat

I got it at a certain technical store inside Intramuros, near Mapua (Im a Mapuan by the way). I went there last saturday and found out that there are 6 pens left. You may also try at bookstores (National, etc.)

Well, I've been busy bee at late night for several days in a row. Why I was up so late I hear you ask? 'Coz I recently bought B-Club 1/100 scale full action Zaku II F2 resin kit. That's why. I must say this resin cast kit is lot different from the injection kits I used to. As I planned to replace the joint with something more substantial I also bought the yellow submarine joints parts - thanks to brother-in-law it was far easier to obtain than the B-Club kit itself which cost me considerable amount of money. T T First thing you will notice is how heavy each part is. The weight is far heavier than I imagined to be honest. I was bit worried with the quality of casts as B-Club is well known for widely varying quality of casting. Luckily mine was pretty much error free and needed minimum finish to get them in shape and fit properly. The building itself was fairly straight forward apart from some modification to fit the new joints. As I wasn't too keen on the look of resin kit's head I swapped it with MG Zaku II F2 head and put the H eye with some junk vernier. Also used MG Zaku II F2 part for machine gun's magazine as imbo the injection kit part has better look. As this is first time I painted the resin kit I decided to go safe and painted in clean colour without any shading. Which I think came out very nicely - like just rolled out of production line for Char Aznable. It's still being dried and once cured will put the decal, some panel lining and final top coat. Expect the photo of finished kit shortly here...

I didn't want to put things down and set up the camera which took unnecessary time and effort. Mind you I was working at the bathroom at night coz that was the only place I can do the work and quick wash up before hit the bed. Otherwise misuses will throw the kits out the window... Besides I'm not even sure the way I did was correct. All I did was get the resin primer to put on the resin part after sanding/fixing/putting/sanding followed by the surfacer and back to sanding/fixing/sanding. After few more of this things ready for painting and doing simple colour painting nothing to write home about... Had to take the whole thing to the garage to paint coz the compressor was too noisy at night however and it's bloody freezing cold at night over here (we are half way through the Winter down here) @,@

preliminary finish of dodaiII 1/100 scale model... sorry for poor shaky picture. I'm bit tired now after doing two models currently for last several nights... I'm planning to rescribe the panel line and add more details to dodaiII with some help/suggestion from fellow airplane modellers...

cheers that's Dodai II as Dodai YS was bomber and much smaller and Dodai Kai has different shape. This isn't exactly the shape of Dodai II either actually. Dodai II in OVA is much square looking than this one. I was making it more realistic(?) and besides making the bays on th top for MG Zaku/Gouf resulted the mid section much longer than initially planned...
