Ola amigos!
I just want to share my '2 cents' on my July 31, 2010 hauls.
Up first...
Decoback (Space)Side A
Side B
2 cents:This is a great addition to my 'toy photography' hobby.
Both designs are nicely done and adds more 'life' to the presentation of my toys. It can be used to easily recreate scenes from our favorite shows.
I had fun using this particular Decoback and I'm sure I'll be purchasing the other designs as well.
Up next...
RD V2 Assault Buster Gundamout of the box
V2 GundamMecha Profile:Developed to be the new symbol of freedom for the League Militaire resistance group, the LM314V21 Victory 2 Gundam was the direct descendant of the original LM312V04 Victory Gundam. The Victory 2 Gundam (also called the "V2 Gundam") retained the three-component Core Fighter/Top Fighter/Bottom Fighter transformation and combination system of the original, while incorporating new technologies and an increase in performance. The most significant of these new technologies was the "Minovsky drive" system, a development of the Victory Gundam's Minovsky flight system, but operating like a MS-sized version of a battleship's Minovsky craft system. The Minovsky drive allowed the V2 Gundam to achieve atmospheric flight and hovering abilities, as well as flight in space, without the use of conventional rocket thrusters (although the V2 did still use conventional rocket-style vernier thrusters for some maneuvering). In addition to providing the V2 with its flight thrust, the Minovsky drive could also be used as an offensive or defensive weapon, as the energies produced by the drive could be manifested as a pair of large beam "wings of light." These wings of light could be used in a variety of ways, from acting as giant slicing beam weapons, to providing addition beam shield defense for the V2 itself or several other targets at once.
Aside from the added benefits of the Minovsky drive, the armament of the V2 Gundam was basically the same as the original Victory model. However, the V2 was also designed to be fitted with additional armor and weapons systems when necessary. Two such "powered up" forms included the LM314V23 V2 Buster Gundam and LM314V24 V2 Assault Gundam. Ace League Militaire pilot Uso Evin was the assigned main pilot of the LM's single V2 unit, and he would use this powerful mobile suit quite effectively during the Zanscare War in UC 0153.

This additional firepower came in the form of a mega-beam cannon for high-powered, long-range shots, a spray beam pod for taking down several enemies or incoming missiles at closer ranges, and six micromissile launchers. Although the extra equipment increased the V2's weight and caused a minor decrease in speed and performance, the V2 Buster was still quite a powerful mobile suit, operating effectively as a medium- to long-range fire support unit in this form.

The V2 Assault was equipped with a pair of I-field barrier generators, making this mobile suit almost impossible to touch with beam weapons. As a redundancy, the V2 Assault was also equipped with a set of gold-colored, anti-beam coated armor plates all over its body. Firepower was also increased, in the form of a pair of hip-mounted VSBRs (Variable Speed Beam Rifles) capable of penetrating conventional mobile suit beam shields, and often a hand-carried mega beam rifle similar to that used on the LM312V04+SD-VB03A V-Dash Gundam. Although the extra armor and weapons increased its weight and slowed down its maneuverability, the V2 Assault Gundam was equipped for endurance and a long-haul battle. These optional parts for the V2 Assault were also designed to be interchangable with the optional parts for the LM314V23 V2 Buster Gundam, thus allowing a mix-and-match combination of parts and weapons as needed for specific mission roles (for example, the LM314V23/24 Victory 2 Assault-Buster Gundam).
* source from MAHQV2 Assault Buster GundamMecha Profile:One of several "powered up" variants of the basic LM314V21 Victory 2 Gundam, the League Militaire's LM314V23/24 V2 Assault-Buster Gundam combined the mega beam cannon of the LM314V23 V2 Buster Gundam and the offensive/defensive capabilities of the LM312V24 V2 Assault Gundam for increased offensive power. This variant was created by League Militaire engineers as a stopgap to keep up with the increasing number of high performance Zanscare mobile suits. However, equipping both the mega beam cannon and the armor plates significantly cut down the speed of the V2 Assault-Buster Gundam, making its maximum acceleration less than that of the basic LM314V21 Victory 2 Gundam.
* source from MAHQ2 cents:First of all...I'd like to thank amigo m0n5t3r for selling me this fig.
Off the bat, I was overwhelmed by all of the accessories that came with this fig. I guess the selling point of this fig is the 'dress up' feature. The part swapping and changing of configurations was actually fun! ;D
I was playing with this figure for almost 3 hours! Not because I was having a hard time changing the configurations but more of me enjoying the new look each configuration has to offer.
The only prob I saw with this fig was the paintjob...lots of paint bleeds here and there. tsk tsk.
Overall, it's a really fun figure and I had a lot of fun playing with it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this figure, especially to the V2 Gundam fans.

Mecha Profile:A power-armor used by the S.M.S. employed Zentradi of Pixie Squadron and also employed by N.U.N.S. Zentradi forces. This mecha is very similar to the original Queadluun-Rau Zentradi mecha from the original Macross TV series (which was used by the Meltlandi in the Do You Remember Love? movie adaptation of the series).
* source from Wikipedia2 cents:Lately I've been delving into the Macross lore and I'm just loving this franchise more and more. After finally learning to appreciate the Queadluuns...I finally decided to get this fig! ;D
I gotta admit, the fig doesn't come jam packed with a lot of accessories so playability ain't that fun.
Despite its minor setback, I just love the mold and its a great representation of the Pixie Squadron. If only this wasn't an Exclusive, I may have bought one more of this so I could complete the Pixie Squadron.
Overall, its a great fig and I only recommend it to Macross enthusiasts.
That's it for now amigos! Thanks for looking!
Cheers!
