I'll be devoting more time for it now since I'm done with the Deluxe line of TFTM.... Voyager will have to wait. Need to budget things first.... hehe. Back to our topic: kingkong, did you put topcoat on your Noir? and have you applied the decals already?

i did not put any topcoat on the noir and the decals are not applied yet. I've been thinking what topcoat to use..anyway another OT, any advice what topcoat to use on an acrylic-based basecoat(i.e. RJ)?? ung spraycan sana coz I dont have a talent in paintbrushing. heheh thanks master QB.
@ vayeate: i like this "LEGENDARY UNFINISHED STRIKE NOIR" hehe j/k master qb
@shinn:
thanks! I just used artline pens on the panel line..Sometimes, gundam marker but a bit expensive..I just ordered a copic pen, don't know what will be the effect of this on the kit..Will just see

i'm no expert when it comes to topcoats but my plan is to use a flat topcoat. i might get two cans of mr. color flat topcoat to finish things off although i did initially use tamiya clear as the first base. dunno if sempai (no3ljm) would agree. there are tips posted by other modellers on this thread: Top Coat: Flat or Gloss? You might wanna check the tips posted there. ;D

checked that already sir.. just wanna make sure that I wont make another mistake.. I messed up with my basecoat on my IJ twice and have to strip the paint again and again... I think the armours are already brittle! hehehe but again, we learn from our mistakes diva! so time to move on and continue what I've started.... haha

i'm envious of your strike noir dude hehe im wishing to have one of my own someday... =) and about the topcoat thing check my thread ive used rj dull lacquer to topcoat all of my painted kits, its really cheap and it comes in a really big can as compared to the expensive ones like tamiya... just practice a little on excess parts or sprues and be careful of overspraying as it will cause frosting... on the 1st page of my thread there are non painted kits which i just topcoated with rj dull lacquer... hehe... btw there are expert modelers on another thread that say other brands like tamiya or mr hobby produce much better results than rj though i haven't tried them as i find them too expensive hehe... hope this helps..
