lotur and rapido =- i've been researching for about 4 months now, and dlp is the best choice for me....plasma only lasts 2-3 years plus the burn spot is a pain and a very common problem, and the lcd is good but too expensive but the black and white colors have grayish tones so you won't see their true b/w colors and plus the shadowing/blurring when there's too much movement is not good....if you have an lcd monitor and move your mouse around so fast, you'll know what i mean.....as for the dlp, samsung's got the best contrast ratio out of all of the other brands, plus they're using their newly l.e.d. engine that lasts about 20k hours as opposed to the regular bulbs that only lasts 3k hours....
i'm buying this dlp set for the whole family as a xmas present and to replace the 56" old school projection tv that my mom bought about 9/10 years ago that we have in the sala....this new dlp set will get major use and it's got to last for a long time hopefully....plus our local store, bestbuy, have this extended warranty deal for 4 years if the leds/bulbs goes out or if it broke, they will fix or replace it with a new one for no charge....they also have this deal that if you buy an hdtv over $1k, you'll get $100 off of ps3 or xbox 360....so i'm getting the 60 gb ps3....
anyways, lotur, you dc is better than mine coz mine doesn't have any optical zoom so i can't take close up shots like yours...
