Sorry to hear about that accident... but if that doesn't mean a do-over i don't know what will.
In my case, I usually buy the stock paper/board in National Bookstore and have them use it to print/copy the parts, that way I have what I want... some shops don't allow other paper other than their supply so you'd have to ask if it's possible. The stock paper/board are a bit pricey but with the extra strength but without additional weight, it's the best I've used so far.
My brother printed and built a cat paper model on stock paper with laser printer at work, and up to now that it had experienced a lot after being blown away by the fan a lot of times, it's still intact and very much collecting dust...

Good to hear about your brother's paper car May it have along life as a paper model What exactly is the name of the stock/paper board that you use? I've been looking for it at National Bookstore but can only find the ordinary day to day paper So bro, you're a card modeler too?

Good to hear about your brother's paper car May it have along life as a paper model What exactly is the name of the stock/paper board that you use? I've been looking for it at National Bookstore but can only find the ordinary day to day paper So bro, you're a card modeler too? Yup, I've been meaning to print out the Going Merry since I got it but things always get in the way, like loads of work and Gundam... I don't really know the name of the paper but it might be categorized in specialty paper. Some of those are colored papers so you will have to look for something that specify "board" or something and it should be thicker and stiffer than the regular paper. It only comes in either 10 or 20 pieces so it's kind'a expensive, but it does work better. I haven't tried the shiny ones but I believe they will also provide better protection from dust. Btw, I was looking for the Star Trek (2009) papermodel so here's the link from where I usually get my free paper kits, they collect links of the free paper models on the net. You'll just have to click on the button next to "Home" to go to the free section and you'll see loads of links with pics of the paper models you want and lots more since the general section already has 122 pages. I would suggest looking around since there often more creators for a single topic (like star wars or gundam) and their quality could be for beginners to experts. And at times you'll get deadlinks specially when the owners removed or didn't update their site properly. Just click on the picture for a direct link for the download... www.3dpapermodel.com.tw/And here's a sample of a SD Zeta Gundam, you'll have to browse the page a lot because it's in Japanese. He does seem to have posted the parts for the Zeta... turbolaboblog.seesaa.net/upload/images/200805-1.htmlAnd lastly some Japanese creators use Papekura (paper model maker 3D modelling program), that you will need to open some files. And good luck on their links because looking for their printable copies are a pain, unlike the European and US makers. Just saw this, sorry if this post is getting too long but you might like this... Thanks for the links! We also have a GT member that operates a site for free paper/cardmodels. His username here is Jaybats Here is his site: www.freewebs.com/jaybats/dealerschoice.htmPaper models, it's been a while since I made one hehehe! This paper model was my last attempt...it went horribly wrong when the materials I used was warping. I glued the paper templates to manila folder...it warped in time to I had to abandon the project. it was a sailing ship My abandoned project A friend though borrowed the plans of the sailing ship from me and he did this Amateur built Completed model Made from stiffer paper material

Nice, but yeah warping is the common problem I know. I do recall some tips on avoiding too cold temperatures because some paper react differently when moved from cold to hot places.
For the time being, my main concern would be the printing since it's too expensive to print color and I don't know how much laser printing would cost... (text or document is cheap but picture/illustrations?)
Btw how big is that ship... ?

Hi ya! I kind of forgot how big this ship is...if I'm not mistaken it's around 24 inches long from tip to tip and it's some 36 inches high from the bottom of the hull to the tip of the highest mast...I think... I'll ask my friend. He has the said ship in his home Bro btw, what model printer are you using?

My brother used to work in a shipping company and they are using laser printer. I just ask him to print them after getting the right paper to use, et viola. Sadly, he's moved out of that job and went to the province, now I'm stuck with an Epson inkjet...
