ok.. this is the ultimate question.. hehehe... 1. what's the best spray can to use? 2. if i'm in a budget, what's better? rj or bosny? 3. between rj and bosny? which of the two have the most color varieties? 4. are tamiya color spray paints ok? 5. where do i get gunze sangyo or mr. hobby spray paints? TIA guys!

The best IMHO are the ones designed for hobby use, which are Gunze and Tamiya. Those paints are very thin when applied so details doesn't disappear even when multiple coats were done.
Gunze paints are sold in STC, there's one in V-Mall on the opposite end from Best Toys.

i think the best spraycan would still be the hobby spraypaints. like tamiya, gunze, etc.. but if you're in a low budget like me, hehe i think pylox would be fine the only problem is the paint tends to chip unlyk the rj and bosny na kumakapit talaga.. better apply primer or sand the kit first before applying pylox..haven't tried other industrial paints though. baka may mas maganda =)

yup. this time i will also agree with seele. IMO, it's the same reason why i stopped using spraycans. it's best to save up some money to buy a basic set of airbrush. why? because like brod seele said, the paints will be more thin. even when you use multi-colors. not like with spraycans, whether it's local or branded, it will have the same effect. if you sprayed too much, the details will get erased. and the joints will get stiff. the thicker the coats, the more prone to scratches when you pose it. i guess, it's better to invest with a small basic set of airbrush like the Tamiya Airbrush Basic Set if you're going to build kits for years.
i also understand the situation that we can save much if we just bought and use local spraycans, the thing is, you'll be more frustrated pag sumablay or nagkamali ka. and that's based on experience ha. i did those things before, and somehow i learned my mistakes in using spraycans. but still, there's some people who mastered the technique of spraypainting.
my 2 pesoses.

Btw spray can paints sold in hardwares sprays at least 4x as much paint compared to the hobby spray can paints. I realized this when I used a hardware spray can on a non-toy project, the paint left in the paper backing was many times thicker than when I used Gunze spray can.
So even though hardware paint cans contains more volume, it's more wasteful than hobby spray cans.

STC has the most common Gunze colors around, they don't have the complete line up tho.
Same with Lil's Tamiya paints.
