Hi, to cover the dry transfer markings, do u use (clear)varnish? What paint can u apply for the dry transfer to keep it from scratches? Thanks!

ahh ok... how do i know if its water based or not? is it written on the label kung water base sya? Kung sa Gunze paints, nakalagay naman sa label nila kung water based yung acrylic. I think yung may Hobby Color na label yata yung water based tapos yung Mr. Color yung normal na acrylic but I'm not quite sure about this though.

no... that's the formula... acrylic paint, dish washing liquid, and water and mix them all up. the purpose of the dishwashing liquid is that it will allow you to wipe off the excess paint from the kit, making it somewhat "erasable". without it i think you won't achieve the desired wash effect... its like you just painted your kit black. ok... cge try ko... tanchahan nlang... hehehe... thanx! btw, UberJ, when r u planning to buy a new gundam model? baka next pay day... pero hindi ako sure... i might use the money to pamper myself. pakulay ng buhok, get some new clothing, some bling, memory for my phone... im still deciding if i should a kit this payday... isip isip muna? why do you ask?

In essence, ano ano ang bibilhin kong brands for washing. Di ba eto yung mga items :
1. Clear coat (what brand and saan pwede bumili) 2. Water-based acrylic (what brand and saan pwede bumili) 3. Brushes (what type and saan pwede bumili) Shempre dapat iba yung brush for the clear coat and iba din yung brush for the acrylic paint?
Thanks.

you don't hand brush a clear coat. masmaganda if you get it in a can or air brush it.
i think wala naman major issue sa brand ng paints, its all personal preferrence. you can get it at LILs (megamall basement) and special toy center (sm north and isetann recto). some people also use oil base paints for their wash.
get the small one. you can get one at any arts supply shop

Dude, you really should practice first before you start thinking of buying an airbrush! ;D Start with the basics! You can start with local hardware spray can like Bosny if you want an airbrush effect on your kits. You also have to exert a trmendous amount of patience if you want to improve!

Try mo yung mga airbrush na binibenta sa National Book Store. Meron sila dati around 2K pero hindi ko alam kung pwede yun gamitan ng model paints. Also, one of my friends recommended to me the Gunze airbrushes but I have yet to see how it performs. Like Uber said, airbrushes are quite expensive with the good ones priced around 5K minus the air compressor. Getting the cheaper ones could be ok but it may not fare as well with the more expensive brands.
