Its basically made for plastic marking. Besides, you can easily clean it up using alcohol just incase you mess up! ;D

Heh heh hi there. Newbe in the forum and wanna toss in my 2 cents. I use the wash method to put in detail lines and I was experimenting with a different method of applying the diluted paint in the groves. I loaded it in one of my syringes (I'm diabetic and the doc just took me off the injections so I had all these excess syringes around) it works. The thing is you have to be awful careful when using this(you do not want to stick paint somewhere in your system) I can control the flow of paint as well as where to apply it in case it doesn't wash far enough.

Anyone around here know where i can get the blue paint used in Gundams? I used to buy them around the place but since special toys stopped getting the Aqueous acrylic paints I couldn't find them around anymore. Tamiya just doesn't make the same shades of blue (bright blue and cobalt blue)

You could try to have the Gundam paint ordered through Sir Malvs. Give him a PM to be sure! ;D

sludge wash:
what you need:
black or dark grey acrylic paint liquid detergent like joy water
a smooth surface (gloss finish)
cotton swabs
how to do it:
1. mix say 3 or 4 drops of black acrylic paint to 30 or 50 cc of water plus 4-5 drops of liquid detergent.
2. apply the sludge with a paint brush along the panel lines. ok lang kahit lagpas.
3. let it dry for 2 minutes.
4. 'erase' the sludge with a clean cotton swab.
voila! easy to do panel lines.

ahh i did that already. unfortunately it didn't work for me. untreated kasi yun kit ko.
i'd like to know what brand of clear coat would you recommend?
and does the paint really coagulate once you mixed them up together?

I think UJ does'nt want to paint his kits, just do the panel lines right? Wala ka bang puedeng gawing Guinea Pig, like for example, bootleg gundams. Try mo either the Gundam "panel marker", hindi basta yung Gundam marker ha. Ang gamit ko yung GM01 tapos may nakalagay na [200]. So far maganda naman ang result. Ginamit ko yun sa...teka...Eternal yata o sa 1/60 Shining Gundam ko. I forgot pero I remembered that it was better than doing the oil wash at that time dahil flat finish yung paint ko. Or a tech pen. Palagay ko, ang oil wash hindi didikit sa untreated na kit. Pero you have another option, which I believe will work.....Enamel wash. Use the Tamiya enamel on the square bottle and dilute it to a water like solution with lighter fluid. Kung black, yung X-1 ang bilhin mo. See the pic below.
