thanks for the info r2d2t2! I was reading an article about this on the Internet and I was surprised to know that this was based on real life, that there was really a leather face character who killed lots of people. This is really eerie. yup. its based on a true story. killed 33 persons in all if im not mistaken. in the movie, they had to kill so they can eat (oopps! spoiler!). not sure if the same thing happened in real life. if it did, God have mercy on their soul. i cannot imagine how a human being can do that to a fellow human being. speaking of true story... i just saw Open Water on TV. so what do u think happend in the end? was she rescued (i think the guy died)? i hope the true story wasnt a tragedy...

Yap, that movie is probably the most shocking movie I've seen coz of the reality in it. I was really scared on a scene when they fell asleep and waking up far from each other --- totaly mind bogling. Think they both became fish food.

i think Open Water is like the Blair Witch Project...
we all thought Open Water is a "documentary" but its not...i was once fooled by the blair witch project thinking that the 3 students were really dead/lost...but i saw them alive hosting i think the mtv movie awards....
so open water is also like that...the two divers are alive and i think they were interviewed....
but some american horror films are somewhat based from real stories like the Exorcism of Emily Rose...i like that movie when i watched it...its really based from a true story....the movie and the real story of the girl who was really possessed had the same storyline...ive read the story actually in Time magazine

really?! so the couple are alive? i mean the true to life couple? this link says no bodies were recovered so i guess theres a possibility that they're still alive. but accrdng to the link also, the father is still looking for her daughter. why would the daughter hide from her father? she hates him that much? www.cdnn.info/news/article/a040723.htmli saw Emily Rose too! i like what they did in that movie - court trial setting. and the fact that it happened in real life... that is VERY scary. next time you smell something burning... be afraid!

Hi! I know this is somewhat old but I saw "Sukob" last night via DVD. I hardly watch tagalog movies but my wife was to blame for it. Anyway, the movie is quite scarry although I'm really confused about the storylines. I know that Claudine married first before Kris and the curse started to happen (at the Church's bell, Kampanero). Last time I checked "Sukob" curse should happen when two sisters/brothers married on the same year but in the movies case it was first observed during Claudine's wedding while it should have occurred when Kris's wedding had finished. And for I while there was a suprise attempt to copy the scene in the Ring. Claudine's performance was better than Kris's. Good movie especially this Halloween season. 3/5 Stars.

I just saw Idle Hands a couple of nights and you know what? Jessica Alba rocks! Seeing her in a fairy custome is like really awesome not to mention her kinda weird erotic dancing. Now why they can't have a sequel of that.
