Koibito has this game; you control pikachu with voice commands. The problem is that his version is in Japanese and our Nihonggo vocab is rather limited, so we can't play the game properly.

There's a fishing stage, and a cooking stage..... w00t? XD

11. Lets play excite table tennis

I got this from my godmother who works with the Tourism bureau in Osaka. Its a plug in self powered game ( not unlike the recent battery operated plug in games you find in the toy stores today) that hooks to the AV outlet of your TV and plugged to the electrical socket.

The "racket paddle" serves as the interactive portion of the game. It is no "STIGA" hehe................but once connected, your virtual opponent begins swinging against you and you have to hit the virtual pingpong ball back at him. Very exhilirating...................almost like playing the real thing.

(I also remember an embassy film feature in Ch. 13, another Takara product wherein this big robot can also be plugged into the AV ports to initiate an "interactive" game.

12. Thousand Arms

Synopsis: What do you get if you mix an RPG, anime and Tokimeki Memorial?..........Thousand Arms. I managed to get my version 2002 ( original release around 2000-2001) in Singapore.

It was the US edition that was full of goodies. Atlus really went all out for this game, besides the extra disc soundtrack, it had great voice overs unlike the earlier campy Resident Evil dub or the latest atrocity that is Rumble Roses.

Ayumi Hamazaki(Hayumi Yamazaki?) did the OP theme..........what can I say...........really great romantic Jpop tunes.

Synopsis: It was only later that I realize that this game, despite its Teen rating has some hidden adult references.

The game goes like this......your Vyze(a smith's tool: vise) a lecherous sword smith, from a long line of lecherous sword smiths. Your on a quest to save the world from a group of villains out to conquer the world(very original no?) You cowardly father is busy chasing skirts so he leaves the world saving to you (you're no better though..........skirt chasing seems to be your priority too hehehe). During your journey you encounter several allies ( mainly hot anime ladies) and a couple of guys.

This is were the game deviates from you standard RPGs. During the course of the game, there are points where you have to date each lady, all within Teen level talk though, but each time you get into their good side, the ladies will assist you in sharpening your "sword". One particular girl eventually becomes your sword summon goddess Sodine. ( Sword sharpening.................yeah right.) ;D

Due to the tiny amount of RAM the PS1 had, you can only play one character at a time. Sporting a 2D presentation similar to Street fighter, the NPC serve only as back up or until they get clobbered and you can choose to "tag" them in. There are a lot of fights of the random nature( bummer).

Again the meat of the game is its dating aspects (very japanese in cultural reference) but also may I repeat, it had very professional voice-over/ characterization....the ones you hear in your basic American cartoon fair (remember Harlequin in Batman.......I believe she is one of them with her pattented Brooklyn accent).

Downside: Lots of random fights and loading, short and predictable plotlines.

Wished it was Sakura Wars they released for US market though....................

thousand arms was great, so with katamari damaci, weren't parappa the rappa and umjammer lammy japanese made too. those were bizzare yet fun games. i'm bummed out by the fact that the sequel to rumble roses won't be on the ps

i also remember playing this japanese fighting game with cell shaded 3d anime dj's fighting out. it had a finisher system which had you play a mini-game which was kinda like dance dance revo with the gamepad. can't remember the title. plus one-on-one was a 1 on 1 halfcourt basketball fighting game which was weird and yet so fun.

well i hope they fixed the voice acting for rumble roses xx. funny as they were in the original, it got torturous as play went on. i wish tecmo would bring doa back to sony. i mean that's where all the bouncin got started....

13. Eden series

Synopsis:

If you guys remember an old PS One game D and a Sega Saturn game Enemy Zero, the game then shares some similarities. Plus a sprinkling of Alien to boot and you get Eden. All aspects of the game are rendered in CGI video.

Why Eden (which is equated with paradise? hehehe ........for the Alien that is). Story begins when a group from UNAS (UN Spacy?) make a trip to the "blue" area of the moon and discovers some alien ruins. The groups are composed of two women Erena Marvel (D cupped beauty and heroine of the story ) and Shizuka, the captain of the mission ( she sort of acts as a hard boiled gal with A cupped breasts) plus a whole lot of male cannon fodder. The bad guy here is composed of a coward named Glen and the multi appendaged Alien.

Episode One: During the visit to the ruins, the crew manages to wake the Alien/Guardian who in turn infects Glen, whose DNA get mutated into an Alien hybrid. The Alien sort of hates Glen and starts to pursue him.

This is where you control the Alien in FPS and by crawling thru the corridors of the ruins, you are given choices as to which path to take. There are paths where you encounter the women, either solo or together. This is when "inter-species" communications occur..........as in the "tentacle" was of communication hehehee . There are path ways which though you elicit an ecchi scene which either furthers the plot or you ending up dead by the male crew.

Episode Two: adds more women victims to the inter- species contact.

Episode Three: More inter-species interaction with the women crew. Supposedly the last of the series, it also borrowed a sort of zapping system like that of Resident Evil 2. This time you play both the Alien/guardian and the mutated male member Glen Collins.

Graphics: Ep 1 to 3 had the CGI models akin to FF7, anime styled polygonal figures.............and severely censored.

Episode 4 to 5 and the last aptly called Final Eden had a different, much improved graphics engine with the same mechanics as the first three. But this time you play as the mutated Glen.
There are more "victims" here, with the exception of the triplets sisters and a psychic teenager, all the characters are D cupped + beauties.

Final Eden: All the lady "victims from Ep 1 to 5 are re-united for a final menage a trois, with both Glen and the returning Alien/guardian. The older characters (ep 1 to 3) are given a subtle graphical improvement over their first incarnation, but with the exception of Elena and Shizuka who have 2 ecchi scenes each, the rest get one scene per inter action.

As always, the pudendal representation are severely censored but its got a lot of close ups.
