Hello GT guys & Gals, Just want to share my 1st Gundam Kit: MG GP01Fb ( c/o S'Mn) 1) Preparing the items for isprey works (i just use clear flat spray from Tamiya since i don't have time & money to use paints) 2) After spraying clear flat, i applied some weathering with the use of chalk pastel & some fine brush plus HB pencil for a worn out metal corner effects. 3) Applied weathering effects to remaining parts & sprayed again with clear flat to protect the shading. 4) Finished MG GP01Fb kit I think i've overdone the weathering effects, it looks very filthy sometimes. Thanks for looking & please feel free to comment & suggestions, i still want to improve my building skills ;D

very nice weathering mykonos! btw some questions about your wip pre: is the chalk pastel better than the regular weathering marker soot from tamiya pre? and what tool works best when applying the weathering? i had lots of trouble with the sponge tip packed with the tamiya tool before, too thick TIA and welcome to the greatboards!

mn <---- sir thanks again for the nice kit i got from you ;D @ S'archaznable - sorry for the language, i've already modified my thread. Thanks for informing & compliment! Thanks to all members for droping their compliments! @ S'Lotur: very nice weathering mykonos! btw some questions about your wip pre: is the chalk pastel better than the regular weathering marker soot from tamiya pre? and what tool works best when applying the weathering? i had lots of trouble with the sponge tip packed with the tamiya tool before, too thick TIA and welcome to the greatboards! I'm not so sure, i haven't used the Tamiya weathering kit before, I just use the "Mongyo" or "Mongio" chalk pastels. I also tried to use sponge on the pastel but it's really hard to control the amount & it leaves me washing the parts all over again. What i did was scrape the chalk pastel with a knife to make powder & dip the tip of the brush (Reeves Nylon Hair # 8 brush or smaller if any) Then shake off the excess powder before applying to the intended parts. The process is similar to dry brushing method. BTW you can buy the brush at any NBS or SM School & Office supply dept around P60 i think ;D Hope this one helps Cheers! ;D

stalker888Thank you for viewing sir! @s'Lotur You're welcome po! BTW maybe you can also use the weathering kit from Tamiya, i think it will work much better than chalk pastels. Thanks & more power! - Cheers! -
