Is it real? The fig on the left looks like the Popy version... or the "The Chogokin" doesn't it? Check the legs. However, the larger fig on the right looks like the SOC... so which is it? Is the Popy battletank mode just the "inspiration" for the "V" SOC? In any case a "reissue Popy-like version" would be great! ;D

It's a retool of the GX-31.
The new stuff are: 1) A tank mode (Voltes Juusensha). 2) New colors, similar to the original toy. 3) Both the Frigate and Lander will have new antenna units. 4) The Panzer will have a new caterpillar frame. 5) New Voltes Bazooka and Chain Knuckle.

So it's effectively GX-31R? What does the "V" in "-31V" stand for? " ...and did Voltes V ever use that mode in the cartoon?

Here in the Philippines, Voltes is considered the "brother" of combattler V..........hmmm... It might be the other way around. A lot of people here in the Philippines, upon seeing Com-Battler V for the first time, assumed it is the "little brother" to Voltes V. They didn't know that Voltes V actually came after. It may have something to do with Com-Battler V's rather late introduction in the Philippines.

New Image courtesy of Toysdaily. I can't say I like how extended the Panzer's legs are now. Gold

looks neater w/ out the big decal on voltes' tummy, liking the white trims. isn't the "Panzer legs" retractable or telescopic? Thanks for the update pic.
