Hi All, here's a quick look at a blast from the past. SRW OG Diecast figures.
First up, Unifive Banpresto Super Robot Wars RTX-010-01 Huckebein MK-II
Box
Tray
Another backtrack of sorts. Originally released in 2005 under the now long dead Unifive company. I originally skipped this due to bad reviews on the net about the looseness of the joints in the legs (it uses the ball joint type designs). I decided to pick this one up to compliment the SOC Gx-46 Dygenguar set and round up some Super Robot Wars OG characters in Diecast figure format (most SRW OG figures are either model kits or limited PVC action figures). The figure is scaled is 1/144.
Core Fighter – just a mini figure, doesn’t really plug into the main toy.
Stands roughly 5.75” tall and weighs roughly 160Grams. Diecast parts include most of the legs and torso.
Huckebein MK-II weapons
Note that some weapons have the hands sculpted into them and cannot be removed.
Photon Rifle
Beam Sword
Chakram Shooter
Deployed
The Chakram was supposed to have pop-out blades. The toy figure has “bladed” and “non-bladed” versions of the Charkam instead.
G-Impact Cannon
The Cannon “mounts” on a flip out panel in Huckebein’s crotch.
Display base – note that the brace is angled differently.
There was also a second figure released, repainted with “Trombe” colors (Red and black) for the pilot of the Aussenseiter (Elzam von Branstein). The repaint is very hard to find now.

I was surprisingly happy with this figure, the joint problems were non-existent with my unit. The joints were tight and the knee joint was even ratcheted. Good heft and a balanced feel make this figure great to pose. I think I enjoyed this purchase more than the Zeta and ZZ Gundam Chogokins
Second up, Banpresto Super Robot Wars PTX-003C Alt Eisen
Box
Tray
Thanks to Gasha for the headsup on this beauty. Alt Eisen (which means “Old Iron” in German) was released in 2006 by Banpresto (after Unifive stopped producing diecast figures). Personally I think this might’ve been a follow-up to the Unifive release of the Huckebein MK-II. Sadly, as far as I know this is the only other diecast Super Robot Wars Original Generations figure I know of.
Alt Eisen Weapons
Square Claymore
Triple Machine Cannon
Heat Horn
Revolving Stake
After the Revolving Stake has “fired” all of it’s shots, the chamber can be emptied and the shells individually removed.
Reloader
Alt Eisen stands roughly 5-6 Inches tall, weighs roughly 400 Grams. Ratchet joints abound in this figure, the shoulders, and the hips and groin joints are all ratcheted (the knees aren’t though).
Thankfully, the manual has a color-coded guide as to which parts are diecast on the figure (indicated as blue). Why can’t all diecast toy makers do this?
The figure even comes with a hangar display base.
The base also works with other 1/144 figures.
Miscellaneous toy info.
When attaching the antennae, just pull out the head and attach, since the huge shoulders will get in the way.
The Square Claymore release button is cleverly hidden in the shoulder vents
Thrusters can move individually.
Word of warning when flipping out the Revolving Stake chamber, make sure both ends (pins) of the stake have released the locks. Otherwise you will break it if you force it out.
Spring action stabilizers. Pressing down on the shoulder pads will make the stabilizer wings spring up.

Alt Eisen later had an upgrade and was renamed Alt Eisen Riese (Old Iron Giant). The changes in the design are subtle but the weapons have been greatly improved.

With the Huckebein-MK-II
With other 1/144 figures

I recommend this figure for anyone who has the Soul of Chogokin Gx-46 Dygenguar and Aussenseitter set. A solid diecast robot with lots of heft, and looks great next the Gx-46 duo. There are supposedly some issues with the hip/groin ratchet joints (one reviewer on CollectionDx mentioned that his ratchet joint broke, but I didn’t encounter that problem with mine, I guess it could be hit or miss). The only real downside is that we didn’t get the diecast WeissRitter to accompany the Alt Eisen.
